Guest guest
Mark, Don't break your arm, but DO pat yourself on the back. You are getting more in the normal range. Despite the way you feel when your sugars are normal, that will pass and you will get over that in awhile. Then next thing that will happen will be that you will start to lose weight if you keep on eating the same way you have been. I wish I could give you a hug for all the hard work you are doing. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Mark Ruth Sent: Saturday, March 10, 2012 6:27 PM To: blind diabetics Subject: my 4 test of my sugar to day are. breakfast, 153 lunch, 127 dinner, 196 bed, 114. for lunch I had a onion burger at a neighborhood restaurant. I didn't eat the bun, but I ate the grilled onions and veggies with water to drink. only ate seven fries and they were very thin. I'm thinking the grilled onions is maybe why my sugar was 196 before I ate dinner. I've heard that onions grilled or fried will bring out the sugar in them more then eating them raw. this is the only reason why I can see my sugar being this high to day. now I took the bed time reading at eight and I don't dig the feeling I got at 114, nor did I like how I felt at 127 earlier in the day. the 196 is to high and I know this, but felt greater! to day is only the second day I've been on the flex pen. I'm to write these numbers down and fax them to him on Tuesday. at that time he will do what ever needs done with the 20 units I do now morning and evening. he said the insulin will bring the triglycerides down and eating right as well. I hope he is right. I go in for a follow up blood test to see in April.
Guest guest
well you are just to sweet and the hug is the thought that counts. you all on this list is why I'm doing so well at this time. been riding that bike that goes no where for one hour a day now for ten days straight, been eating right and making the right choices, plus not eating everything in site. I will admit normal sugar right now sucks the way it makes me feel, but I also know it will pass and then high sugar will make me feel like normal does now. I have all you to thank for taking the time every day when you got time to answer my questions that I have ask before in the past. thanks again for your help and I believe I will have my honey hug her pig! maybe by this time next year I will only be half of the old pig! have always called my self the gentlemen pig, so don't think it is a bad name or I'm hating my self. all my buddies know me as the pig and it is I can assure you in a loving way and not a mean way. thanks again to all. you all live up to the importance and need for the list. my 4 test of my sugar to day are. breakfast, 153 lunch, 127 dinner, 196 bed, 114. for lunch I had a onion burger at a neighborhood restaurant. Guest guest
o no! I named my self the gentlemen pig many years ago because in my opinion I feel each man has a part that acts like a pig and the other side a gentlemen. I figure I'm about half and half. maybe if I can drop from 320 down to 180, then could be I will then be more gentlemen then pig. I've met some men in my time that even if you could get them to be honest they would have to admit even to them self that more of them acted like a pig and not a gentlemen. I've been the pig for way to long for a change now. I can assure you when I was eating because I wanted to eat and I ate enough for 3 men, I was being more pig then and not a gentlemen. I do have some piggish ways that I'm working on getting rid of, but they aren't wishing to go away so easy. I got little pig magnets all over the house that people has got me and some that hang up. you can squeeze them and they sound like a pig squilling. not taking care of my health for many years when I knew better was being a pig and acting piggish all because I wanted to do it my way and poop on the rest! see where that piggish attitude got me to day? A gentlemen doesn't act like a pig or have many piggish ways that we can see, so I'm slowly becoming less pig and more gentlemen. it is a bit slow, but maybe I got a few more years left. you would think 55 would be enough? this is why I said maybe I should give my shot in my fat head! maybe we all can learn how to do things right if god lets us live long enough, but then no one but he knows how long we each got. my 4 test of my sugar to day are. breakfast, 153 lunch, 127 dinner, 196 bed, 114. for lunch I had a onion burger at a neighborhood restaurant.
