Guest guest
Hi Amy, I have Bob my assitance animal and if it wasn't for him then I would not be diagnosed by now. He still gives me a head up before I loose consciousness. Bonnie Introduce myself Hi, I'm Amy. I have fibromyalgia I was diagnosed around a year and a half ago although I have had symtems since I was in high school. I also suffer from CFS, depression, panic attacks and agoriphobia and ostio arthitis. There is more but I can't think of them right now. I am married to a wonderfully supportive husband and I have a stepson. I have a service dog in training that has been a life saver. I will also be getting a Great Dane to train for mobilty reasons I'm really excited. I adore animals espesally the pet kind. I am a stay at home wife. I miss work but am unable to work. I hope to get to know the group and making some good friends 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Hi Amy, Welcome to the group. I have been here for several months and find the people here to be supportive and understanding. It's been great for me to have someone to talk about the symptoms of fibro with. Not everyone can answer all your questions, but someone probably can. I hope you like it here as much as I do. I was reading your list of other diseases and they sound like most of the people here. I have, in addition to fibro,Bone Cancer, CFS, depression/anxiety controlled by meds, IBS, Hypothyroidism, AADD, Narcolepsy, Sleep Apnea, Allergies and Asthma. I don't have agoraphobia for which I am thankful. I do stay isolated and avoid going anywhere as much as possible. I'm not afraid to go out, I just don't want to go out by myself. I'm afraid of the fibro kicking up while I'm out, which it has many times, and not being able to drive back home. I go short distances in my little town, but rarely drive out of town. I will go most anywhere though if someone goes with me. I'm sorry you have all of those things and the agoraphobia. That is really frightening. I am glad you have a supportive and understanding spouse. That is not an easy thing to find. My family and friends have drifted away over the years I have had fibro (16 years). I'm so happy you have the diversion of working with the training dogs. That must be good therapy for you. Well again, welcome to the group. Any questions, ask away. Take care of yourself, Marti moon_lilly26@...> wrote: Hi, I'm Amy. I have fibromyalgia I was diagnosed around a year and a half ago although I have had symtems since I was in high school.
