Guest guest
I still have all my teeth and no cavities (ever). I know... hate me. But my parents were really big on dental care and I was blessed to get sealant put on my teeth twice and I think that has saved me. I think some ppl just are born with bad teeth genes as well. My best friend's kids have had many teeth problems 6, and 3. He has bad teeth despite all the care in the world. Now, I did have an incident where my face hit the pavement (drunken stupidity). I didn't lose any teeth or have to get a root canal or anything but... I do find that is a pain spot now. If it is really, really, really cold it will hurt so bad. So it definitely falls into my tender point areas. Go figure...

Guest guest
I have had fibro almost 20 years now and never had any breaking problem with my teeth. Did get several crowns for my teeth now though. My dad lost all his teeth when I was younger and now wears false teeth. My husband lost two of his due to bone loss in the gums around those two teeth. He wears a partial now. Debbie J -text portions of this message have been removed] >
Guest guest
My teeth have gotten bad over the years as my fibro has worsened and this past summer, like you, , I was eating something and half of one of my molars came off. It was one that I had to have a filling put in just before I was dx'd with the fibro and sits next to an absent adult tooth...it never developed one. It's horrible how much is attributed to this syndrome, which professionals are slow to call a disease!!!! Love and gentle hugs, Debi/So. Guest guest
I have noticed a marked deterioration in the condition of my teeth. Part of it can be caused by " dry mouth " . This is a common side effect of taking narcotic meds. I don't know if it has anything to do with Fibro, but with all the problems associated with this awful disease, it is entirely possible. Guest guest
Debi, I'm beginning to think WE here know just as much, or more about this problem than the docs do!!! Well I am off to bed here in a bit, hubbys home, he brought me breakfast, and I am going to eat, and then try and get some sleep....I've been awake since early yesterday.
