Guest guest
This is what I've been wanting to hear. We are so happy for you! Babs has some better days too. My credo is that whatever you focus on in life, that is what grows. So if you focus on the good days, the times when the pain is less, that is what expands. I know I'm on the Pollyanna side but this is the law of attraction that the Secret and others are making so much money from these days. Anyway, again, we are so pleased for you and so grateful to hear some unadulterated good news. Good news for us. The move is being pushed back a few days so we are not so overwhelmed. Babs and I can do some normal things over the weekend. We have a friend helping us and she has some Parkinson's so she really gets how much pain Babs is in. She insists that Babs sit " like a princess " while she bring her stuff for her to view and to say if it should be packed, sold, given to Salvation Army and such or thrown out. Babs wrote comedy as a screenwriter in Hollywood and is hysterically funny so she entertains us all. Humor is her greatest pain reliever I believe, along with our outstanding dogs and our huge cat. Does trazodone help or hurt Fibro? I'm so grateful to those of you who have welcomed us and written to us. Please tell us anything positive or anything hopeful. I could not empathize more but the stories of terrible pain and nothing working really just discourage us at a time when we are moving and doing our best to stay upbeat. Babs says to tell you all to watch as many funny movies as you can and read as much funny stuff and to find as many creative outlets as you can, knowing you all probably do this already. There's an old book by Norman Cousins about how he cured himself of a terrible illness with laughter which includes marvelous stories, one being about how Pablo Cassals, the great musician, would get up hunched over in great pain from arthritis and would play the piano exuberantly and then rise standing straighter and with dignity. Please don't flame Babs or me for thinking you all don't do this already and don't get how much pain you are all in. Believe me, we know. We really do. We are just sharing what is helping B manage the pain and the stress of moving. Bless you all. You are all in our thoughts and our prayers. Babs has not written in a long while but she did write something about mental health for some friends and students of hers who were really struggling. She is writing as much as possible now because she finds that she literally leaves her body behind when she is being so creative and funny and feels invincible and proud when she finishes a new piece or chapter or whatever, as the kids say. Charlie john honeycutt wrote: WOW indeed. After a good nights sleep w/lots a dreams I awoke feeling great and haven't had any pain today nor stiffness. ......... __________________________________________________________ Get the power of Windows + Web with the new Windows Live. http://www.windowslive.com?ocid=TXT_TAGHM_Wave2_powerofwindows_012008
