RE: my doctor is trying this new med..has anyone heard of it??

I'd never heard of it before, and so I googled it, and could find only one

article on it at all. It sounds very interesting. I will be very interested in

seeing how it works for you. The article I found makes sense. It isn't a drug,

but classified as a 'medical food'. Only, it has to be prescribed. I've never

really heard of anything like that before. Please let us know how it works. Does

your insurance cover it?

I kept looking, and then I found this, it doesn't sound anything like what I

read on the other site:

Thanks Caroline...luckily I get all my meds covered for my Fibro through workers

comp. So the doctor gives me whatever he feels he wants to prescribe. I fear for

the day I will have to pay for my meds! While reading the insert on this

medication, it specifically says it manages pain for fibromyalgia. I am going to

try it out along with everything else. We are just guina pigs at times...lol.
