Vision Therapy for flighty eye contact??

Again my 3 year old has gone from poor eye contact to now flighty eye contact. I still think his Peripheal vision has never been 100%, because I could still wave an object on the side of his face and he won't even flinch. An Optrometist visit cost's $176.00 per hour....not sure if it's worth it or even know what they could recommend to help out my son. Anyone has any thoughts or experience with this?
