Guest guest
Hi Maureen, Like you, tetracycline has done basically nothing for me, and metrocream/gel seems to help a little bit, but also dries and aggravates my skin. After hearing about the vita oil and ZincO I tried both, and had the same reaction you did (break outs from the oil, dry, flaky skin from the ZincO. After that I reverted back to my old Purpose (by & ) which has never caused me any problems. I also got a prescription for Nizoral- which is an anti-fungal supposed to help with seb/derm. The oil and ZincO seemed to have triggered an a flare up of seb/derm, which I never realized I had before. (And probably would never have figured out, without help from this group!) At the same time I got a prescription for Noritate (like metrogel but much better) and I love it! My skin was smooth and soft within a week. I still have flushing and ocasional pustles, but the rough dry flaky patches on my cheeks are gone for the first time in years! I totally recommend both the Noritate and Norizal and also the Purpose, if you've never tried it. It's SPF 15 but I use it morning and night. Hope this helps! Carlen << I am very fair, extremely sensitive skin, and through bp med(plus sun) have just developed rosacea. Bumps, large and small, redness and itching, burning skin. Derm had me try:Metrogel, Klaron-bad burning, itching. Now on tetracycline, and have tried Dr.Sy's samples that seem to have helped some of you so much. Well, the vita oil made the papules worse and the Zinco makes my skin dry, and flaky-it sort of hardens to mask like quality even with putting moisturizer on first. Aspirin does help with the burning and itch. I guess I am just at the beginning of a search for products that suit and help my particulatr finicky skin. I'd appreciate any advice from other who suffer the same. Hope to hear more on this subject. I have tried archives, etc,, but really would appreciate current thoughts this. Thank you, Maureen >>
