Hi Darlene,

I hope you get above the pain quickly and hope those pain meds work for you.

I think tension/stress is what triggers most of my flares. I can't seem to get

over the one I'm in now, but I have bronchitis and am achy all over too.

I moved to CT from GA in 1982. I had lived there most of my life. Where do

you live in GA.

Take care,

Marti

I have to agree with you there Ruthie! I know that I have been using a

reflexologist who also does an ion cleanse before she works on my feet.

Got it done twice in December and felt pretty good, although I did

flare up my mono again and am " aching like a toothache " . I think I'm

going to give her a call and see when she can come on over. It releases

so much tension/stress which I think is what is triggering this flare

for me.

The good news saga continues as I did go into the PCP tonight and saw

the one who set up the referral. He was shocked that the girls in the

referral desk didn't qualify the neuro but notated that I was going to

see a rheumatologist on the 17th (who is in the same group as my

endocrinologist which should be good, right?). He gave me 2 meds for

the pain (robaxin and darvocet) and the pharmacist said " don't drive "

so.....guess I'll be hanging out here until I can get above the pain,

which is going to take me a few days I think, especially since we are

ina cold spell (it never got above freezing here in Georgia today!).

All of your muscles tense up as you are carrying your burden. Well, I

equate emotional burdens with physically carrying a heavy load.

Emotional burdens make you tense up too. Unrelenting tension in our

muscles translates to pain. I credit this group for helping us to lay

our burdens down at least for a little while. Whatever it takes to let

it all go, we have to try to do.
