Guest guest
Anita What about brushing your tongue more often and sucking on sugar free mints to help bat the bad breath ... the ketosis should settle down just remember you are in a fat burning stage right now. I'm not sure how religious you are being monitoring protein, water, etc but maybe you need to relax a little bit about it .. I don't know how hard it is to worry about taking some vitamins a day .. these shouldn't be things to cause you major concern. Talk to your doctor about it and get some reassurances that you are on the right track. I hope physically you are feeling better. Lyssa Ketosis Hi, Thanks everyone who responded to my question re: bad breath. As soon as I posted the question it occurred to me that I was in ketosis. Well, I absolutely don't like it and don't think it's a good thing. So, despite the advice of my nutritionist, I've added more carbs to my daily diet and it's helped a bit. I also bought a test kit to verify that I was in ketosis. As of last night, I was in 'moderate' ketosis which I'm sure is improved from where I was before I added the carbs. I'm finding it so difficult to be conscious of every little thing going on with me, between the water intake, the protein, the carbs to combat the ketosis, the meds, the vitamins, the exercise - I'm goin nuts! Sorry, but I have nothing but complaints right now for this whole process. I'm sure hoping it gets better because I can't handle things staying this way for long or heaven forbid - getting worse.
