Guest guest
My ped says at 6-9 months I should be going to 3 meals of solids per day. He has a severe milk protein allergy and I need him to nurse until he outgrows this. I'm afraid he will stop wanting to nurse. His 6 month checkup is on Monday so we'll see what the ped thinks, but I would like to hear what you ladies think. My 22 mo has a milk allergy so I decided with my baby I would delay solids some. I tried solids with him at just over 7 months and he was not interested. I tried it again this week still nothing. He has no interest in starting solids. THE GOOD NEWS IS....the World Health Organization recommends exclusive nursing for 12 months, so it is not necessary for your son to have juice at all at this age or even baby food for that matter. I'd think if he was happy with nursing then he would really only need a " supplemental " jar of baby food a day. Now, don't get me wrong, if he seems to need something more then give him more, but don't do it just because the ped says to, follow Cody's cues. Good luck!!!
