Guest guest
I have learned that my intuition gives me an accurate " snapshot " of a new situation ,opportunity,or person/relationship right at the very outset, before it has been overlaid with the many considerations and impressions that follow, and all of the feelings, desires, fears, judgements, denial etc that can then stream in. I have repeatedly said " yes " to situations/people ,in contradiction to what my intuition advised/saw for me AT THE OUTSET/BEGINNING. Then I experience the " why not " ,and am once again shown my own foibles, the most basic being that I have this infallible intuition which for various reasons I deny or ignore. It can be my own desire or fear that shouts down this still, small voice and/or vision. Often it is someone elses desire or opinion that I let override that initial intuition. Which brings me to the dictum to KNOW THYSELF. Indeed regret is not a place to linger, but it can be useful for self-examination and self-knowledge.The point being to learn to recognize that lessons will keep repeating (albeit in different guises) until we " get it " .This takes great self-honesty,which is not the same as blame. It also takes compassion for yourself, which is not the same as ditching responsibility for your decisions. Eventually, correcting faulty,or less-than-optimal decision-making can develop.I'm still learning and working on this: Honoring my intuition.
