Guest guest
Hope things went OK, Melody. I get anxious about stuff like that ahead of time, too. Guest guest
It went better than I thought! I thought for sure today I'd be paying dearly, but amazingly I feel really good today. We went to a bar, so there was a LOT of cigarette smoke. So today I'm clogged, eyes burn, and my voice is deep. We danced a little, but my body feels pretty good today! I'm tender to the touch on certain areas, but I don't have that flare type pain all over, I don't have that 'beaten by a baseball bat' feeling, so maybe laughing til my sides hurt is good medicine. I drank one beer, but my tolerance is low so that was enough to make me laugh and forget about the fibro. I had fun. It's been a long time since we went out to a bar and danced. Guest guest
Hi Melody, I so glad you had a good time. It's great that you got out and danced some and had a beer and laughed. I think that is good medicine. Got your mind off of IT for a bit. I'm doubly glad that you aren't paying for it too much. I would have been afraid of the payback too. I'm sorry for all the cigarette smoke. Don't think I could take that. Connecticut is a smoke free state. I hope you remain payback free. Marti Melody wrote: It went better than I thought! Guest guest
I'm an ex smoker, and normally being around a smoker doesn't bother me. But when it is a bar filled with smoke, it seeps into my clothes and hair. Then it takes forever to get the smell out. Today my voice is all deep and hoarse, reminding me of when I DID smoke and would have a late night with too many ciggies. But I didn't smoke, I just breathed in enough second hand I guess. I still don't hurt much. It's mostly sinuses and pressure, but the body isn't complaining. I'm starting to wonder if I'm in the twilight zone. Guest guest
I know what you mean about the Twilight Zone. If I ever get a pain free day or a day when the brain fog has lifted I don't know what to do with myself. ~~~~~~~~~~weird. The second hand smoke is a gross thing. I'm sorry it bothered you so much. I hope your sinuses feel better soon. I started out at Christmas with a sinus infection that went into bronchitis and now is pneumonia complicated by my sarcoidosis (lung disease), so I know how the sinus pressure can be really bad. Probably the smoke did that to you too. I hope you continue to not hurt and that your sinuses get better soon. Guest guest
I cleaned like a mad woman. If I have a good day, I take full advantage of it by cleaning like crazy. Sure it means I'll pay dearly tomorrow but at least my house is clean. Marti Boguski wrote: > I know what you mean about the Twilight Zone. Guest guest
Wow are you industrious Melody. Good for you. Me now if I ever get a pain and fog free day and I guess I do sometimes, I'm sure I would play. Maybe go out to meet a friend. Or read a good book I haven't been able to understand with the fog. Or just dance around the house. Gosh anything fun would be great! Not a lot of fun in my life right now, but I do OK. Marti Melody wrote: I cleaned like a mad woman.
