Guest guest
Hi Adela, Welcome aboard, I'm new myself, feels strange to welcome someone. Verry kind, understanding, supporting people here. My new Rh prescribed lyrica the first part of Dec., I held off on taking it till after the holidays, I'm planning on starting my first dose tomorrow at bedtime. Wish me luck. Hope to hear more from you as well when you start. Judy Adela wrote: Hello everyone, My name is Adela and I am from Washington State. I am a home school mom of two boys (13-15). and step mom to two older girls (22-21) and thank you for letting me into your group. I just read all the files that was sent to me. I haven't gotten into the bio's yet, but I will soon. I just saw my GP doctor last week who chatted with the neurologist and the Pain specialist. (I guess they had a conference) and decided that I had either fibromyalgia or nerve pain of some sort. they gave me Celebrex, Trazadone, and Lyrica. I haven't tried the Lyrica yet I am suppose to give the Celebrex a week then start the Lyrica. does anyone here take the Lyrica? What can I expect from it? any side affects? does it work to help with the pain? numbness? sleep? I look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you. I belong to many groups and have email filters so that my inbox will no bounce. I hope to get help and to give it when I can. TTFN Adela 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone.
