Guest guest
Hi , I really do not think that suicide solves anything. Life is so precious, even a life in pain is better than no life at all. We would all like to be out of our misery, but through medical advancements and greater understanding of FM. It is coming. Lyrica is the first step. At least FM is now recognized and taken seriously by the medical community. I believe help is coming. Don't dispair. Love ya! Ruthie
Guest guest
Tracey, Suicide is always an option but the question is is it the only option ? Or as a friend said to me " what if this IS the garden of Eden ? What if the other side is SOOOO much worse ? That concept always makes me draw breathe, like OH ! shit ! what if on the other side I have to live with my mother FOREVER shhsheeshssshe nah I'm definitely staying on this side. Guest guest
> > Evening Group. > Gountback here; > > Suicide sounds good to me . > Gountback please do not say things like that. You are just as important to the group as anyone else. Believe me if you threaten that this group works rather well together at finding people. You are important and you do matter! Never let anyone else tell you anything different! OK Lori H
Guest guest
I once heard someone say that " suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem " . I totally believe that and no matter what life hands you, it is still LIFE and too precious to be dealt with in such a " don't care " manner. Life is a wonderful gift, even if you don't like the wrapping paper. Ruthie
Guest guest
I don't see suicide as a " cop out " I see it as person in so much pain that they really cannot see any other way forward. Often our emotional sense of freedom is tied to our lives and not necessarily based on reality. The little girl I am adopting her mom won't do rehab because she thinks she will loose her house if she does. In my world " screw the house " you can get another one the kids are more important, but in her world the loss of her " house " is really a loss of her identity. Without it she can't live and so she talks of suicide all the time. I just hope I have custody before she does it. As I said its all about perspective. Guest guest
, I have loved you since the day that I joined this group, because you so compassionately welcomed me and made me feel so welcome right away. Also you sent me a couple of personal letters to help explain a lot of things that I needed to know and I appreciated them immensely. I am so glad that your attempt to suicide failed and that you are here for all of us. This group just wouldn't be the same without you. Love you, Debi/So.Cal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Be a good e-mail buddy, and ALWAYS protect your friends from email address harvesters which can lead to more Spam, unwanted mail, and even viruses.
