My doctor just gave me Lidoderm patches for my lower back pain. They are Rx.

The seem to help. They are NOT warm or smelly. So you can wear them anytime.

Aleve is naproxen. I take naproxen in Rx and OTC. You might try doubling the

Aleve. I have taken 4x as much (per doctor's orders) without any side effects.

The Lyrica helped my neck pain first thing. Sometimes what you take for

something else (i.e. Fibro) can help something else. It's the first time in 28

years my neck didn't hurt.

I avoid vicodin/lortab if I can because I get what I call a 'hangover' after I

stop taking it. All those have tylenol in them - so it sounds like you can't

take acetiminophen. Have you tried ibuprofen ?(i.e. Advil).

Hope that helps.
