Don't forget that there are also natl suicide hotlines open 24/7.

Caroline is soooo right on when she says that these diseases suck the

life right out of us, leaving most of us feeling helpless and

depressed. We have to keep fighting to keep forging through each day

until some brilliant and wonderful human being develops more adequate

treatment, or maybe evan a CURE!!!!!!

Ive just been diagnosed after 18months of " madness " and I am soooo happy to be

here.

I have little kids and for the first time I DONT have to say " we dont know

what's wrong "

now I have a name. I drew up a pain chart of smily faces for my fridge so that

when they

get up in the morning I can put a dot on the smiley that best predicts the day

so that

they know if its a 3 mum will need some help with chores, if its a 1 which it

never is we

can have a party, and if its a 5 I need to go to the hospital for IV drugs, that

way they

don;t have to worry each day about how I am it just becomes part of the routine

of the day.

I intend to keep my life as stable as possible but in the last six months I have

lost my job,

quit my studies and live on a fraction of the money I used too, I realised early

on that

no one is gonna save me I just have to adjust my life to get on with living.

" Faith makes things possible not easy " I am just sooo happy to be here.

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as

to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr.

Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to

certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.

2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be

afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation

better.

3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is:

Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe

4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the

same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something

another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member

may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal

with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense

of humor.

5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let

us know so that we can do our best to offer our support.

Have a nice day everyone.

There are a couple out there:

1. Kiss My Face makes a great one!

2. Neutrogena (they have a couple different ones). I like the plain

" Moisture " (tinted) b/c it's milder, for me anyway.

These two I have used and they are great for sensitive skin.

I can find the exact names if anyone is interested. I'm sure there are many

more out there. It does make for a fast and easy " make up " .

Melody, let me know how the Prosacea works out. My rosacea is mild and does not

need medication per my rhumy doc - but my poor sister has it bad and has to use

medication. She just found out about hers in Dec. Her and I are so much alike

it is scary - especially in our medical histories. Very simular.

Re: Make up

I also have rosacea. I saw a thread on here recently for the stuff

called Prosacea, and I found some at CVS pharmacy. I've only been using

it three days, so I can't really tell if it works or not.

I'm considering trying out some mineral make up. The Avon kind seems to

enhance fine lines and wrinkles, so maybe that high dollar stuff.

Christi Randall wrote:

UGH! I am constantly buying concelers in an attempt to find one that will help

even out my skin tone so I can wear make up. But it is getting expensive

trying to find one. With this roseaca I have really uneven skin tone so makes it

real hard to do makeup. Thanks again for the suggestion on the bronzer.

Mine usually flares up during the winter or if the air is dry. But also

if I have a glass of wine. :)

My sister also has it but hers just look like a little flush. Mine is a

little more reddish, splotchy, and on the dry winter days I can

sometimes get those little bumps. I hate it!

I'll let you know how it works.

Cover girl makes a wonderful tinted moisturizer! I love the stuff, it

also leaves your skin with a kind of sheen look. I sell Avon but they

don't make a tinted moisturizer, or the one they did was entirely too

dark for my pale skin.

The doc said mine was a mild case also. I have red/brown blotchiness on my

face with raised bumps. When ever I am out in the sun mine gets a lot worse.

But for the last year I have not felt like going out (I don't tolerate the heat

due to my hypothyrodism) so it has faded somewhat. But I also get the dryness -

do you have dryness with yours?

My whole face is combination skin. I have the typical t-zone oily skin,

but the cheeks and jaw line get dry and rough.

CG Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer. I think it's less than $6. I like it

better than most I've tried. I have it on today and I don't look so tired.

For the cea, I use a green concealer makeup stick that I got at the CVS

drugstore. I use it with a small brush and then blend it with a fingertip. After

that, I just dust on some powder with a big brush and put on the sheer lip color

and I am good to go.

I read somewhere that there was a tinted moisturizer at the drug store. I can't

remember the brand name. Was it Cover Girl or some other brand?

Hi Darlene,

Sry, so far behind on answering posts but yes it is Kay that makes the

tinted moisturizer. I know this because I am a Kay Consultant! I am so glad

word is getting around on our great products. I am not on this website in any

way to make money however if I can help anyone out with products please just

email me privately. I am a little unsure about the rules of giving out websites

for profits however I know how many times I have been able to help woman look

better and feel better about themselves. I am so happy that a alot of you

thought the bronzer/lipgloss was a great idea. I am right up there with you guys

and the fibro. the drugs, the pain and tryng to keep up with a regular job. Of

course one of the reasons I have home based business to build so I can quit

nursing and trying to care for others when I can barely care for myself.

I did have some great news today though, I got a new job as RN that I can

work from home doing research on puter 20 hours a week with a pretty decent pay.

I will probably then quit my home nursing job as soon as I know I can handle

this job. They are going to train me,Will be doing research for lawyers that

clients got all kinds of illnesses in 911. I bet I will come across more than

one fibro. case. We shall see. I hope it gives me more time for my buisiness and

still have a steady income. I feel so bad for all of you out there trying to

get disability and can't work, I suppose that is basically some of what I will

be doing is to help people get compensation and or disability payments. I am so

excited. I have been listening to the Secret alot and have tried to have a more

positive attitude and think about the things I want/need for myself and family

and it looks like th Universe is actually responding, If you all havent read or

listened to the Secret it is awesome.

I know there is a movie but dont know if on video or has even been in movie

theatre,I think I will research that,

Well things are alot quieter today here than last nite, Hubby out of town,

girls at school work. Girls 21 and 23 were fighting like cats and dogs

yesterday. I had to put them in there place and make them realize how good they

have it. Roof over head cars school phone insurance, everything paid for by

parents. They were told didnt like it here they could move and take care of

themselves.LOL, like that is going to happen anytime soon. My fingers are

hurting bad. I need to get off puter for awhile. Hope you are all having a pain

free day!!!
