Hi , thank you for the welcome. I am actually having a bad flare of pain

due to the doctor poking and prodding me (happens every time I go to the doctors

for just about anything). This is one of the worse ones I have had in a long

time - I should be doing homework for school, but there is no way I can

concentrate tonight. I will catch up tomorrow while at work.

Thanks

Christi Randall

  • 4 weeks later...

yep the Dr said to me that the reason we are all on different meds is because

part of the disease is a sensitivity to " allergies' etc so what

works for one can't be given to another. When it comes to the sensitivity

side of things you never know what you are going to react too.

Re: new member

Hi . I am Jerilyn joined about 5 mmonths ago also when I was

just diagnosed. Welcome. You will find people are very supporive

here.

I also have used the phrase " hit by a mack truck " cuz thats exactly

what it feels like. I always had severe pain in my legs since having

FM, so I would also say it felt like I ran a ten mile marathon. And

the fatigue was horrific. I am on Cymbalta for my pain and Lunesta

for my insomnia. I have felt sooo... much better since taking the

Cymbalta. What have you been prescribed? You will see alot of people

take a variety of different drugs here, because obviously everyone

reacts differently meds. And some people have it worse than others. I

hope you find the right meds for you. Sometimes it can be a lengthy

process to find the right thing. Or you can be lucky like me and find

the right drug right away, which is what I hope is the case. Good

luck and I am sorry you have been dx with this, but keep your head up

and know it can be very manageable.

fibromyalgia this morning. Never imagined that I would be told that.

I thought my iron dropped AGAIN. For the last 3 weeks I have had

chronic fatigue and I HURT!!! Last year a friend of mine who has

fibro told me I needed to talk to my doctor about because she said

thats what is wrong. Well until 3 weeks ago I would have pain here

and there same with the fatigue.Again thought it was my iron. Now I am

in alot pain and its hard to stay awake most days. I have no trouble

falling asleep but I wake up about 3x a night. When I do wake up in

the morning after falling back to sleep again,I feel like I been hit

by a truck!!!! I joined this group to get more information about the

condition,to talk to other people who have it and for SUPPORT.Looking

forward to chatting with yall.
