Guest guest
> > Risk Factors for Post-ERCP Pancreatitis: A Prospective Multicenter Study > My husband was told that about 3 in every 100,000 develop pancreatitis following an ERCP. Well, we stopped asking about " odds " anymore - he has had 5 ERCPs and developed severe pancreatits 3 times - once involving passing out at home, and all 3 times requiring a week in the hospital to recover from this excrutiating " complication. " Drs won't do them now unless absolutely necessary given his reaction and also that his bile ducts are so paper thin. Question: we were never told a stage of PSC. Only thing is that march, 2005 he developed diabetes which they related to early stage liver failure. After reading posts, I already have a list of a million questions to ask his new doctor, Dr. Tung, at the University of Washington Medical Center.
