Guest guest
Thanks everyone for the quick replies. It is really nice to see us discussing real issues with the beast we all contend with. QUESTION: , I was asking if SIZE matters in regard to the beast. I am a very tiny lady. So tiny in fact, I've been mistaken to be my eldest two children's little sister!! (You'd have to see, LOL, one is 5'4 " and one is 5'9 " ) I know that many of you haven't met in person, but even Mama T, the owner of this group, is taller and broader than I am. I am just barely over 5'1 " and I'm soaking wet, maybe 100 lbs. As my husband put it, a good birthday wind blows in March, I'm a goner. I've read SIZE doesn't matter, so far, the beast can make you bigger, or make you way smaller, depending on what it does to you. I noticed one thing, during a flare, like some others here, I don't eat as much. Sometimes, right at the end of a flare, I eat a ton and then some. I can't figure out if that's just because of the pain or if it's a combination of things. I do know that when I hurt, everything hurts, not just one part, but everything, from my nose to my toes as the saying goes. Like others here, I don't fit into the poor enough for state help arena. I also don't fit into the earnings bracket where complete coverage insurance is remotely possible. It doesn't help that I haven't worked outside the home since 1997 and the work I do at home hasn't managed to afford me anything. >> > Hi Friends ! ! ! Just wana let you know though I've had some bad days there have parts of the days that have been meaningful to me. Three days working around the house results in two days spent in bed on a heating pad w/blue ice. I've accomplished several things. I've refused to just do nothing as that would be to simply giving in. > > New Kitty cat has been a blessing, she greets me 1st thing in the morning waiting for her 1st can of food so to her I'm #1. The comfort she has to offer has been great. Her name is Snoopy as she is getting into evrything around the house but that's is ok.> > Learning to live w/out RX pain meds has been difficult but I AM managing fairly well. I decided not to allow the pain stop me. I pace myself in evry task I take on as not to end up in to much agony.> > Soon I will start reading every post and replieng to the ones I feel like I have something to contribute to.> But for the past week or so I have just been skimming over most.> > GOD Bless You All ! ! ! . . . ................................................ .. .
