Hi, I get hot spells with night sweats when I'm have a sarcoidosis flare. But

I do have bronchial asthma, and have pneumonia. I make sure the fan is pointed

away from me since I'm sick. But usually when I use it it is because I'm hot at

night I can be cool all day, but I'm hot at night. Go figure.

It's pretty common for people with lung conditions to feel they cannot

get enough air in. I recall a respiratory therapist posting on a lung

And yes, I also run a fan to help with the sensation of suffocating and

not being able to get enough air; but I have interstitial lung disease,

so I really do have trouble getting enough oxygen in.

I have had to sleep with a fan or a window in winter open since childhood. And

yes I often feel I cannot get enough air. Debi In fact i use a fan and a

heater at night
