Guest guest
- It is a difficult question to answer. I agree with Angie, I guess, in that you should find ways to help yourself calm down and survive the pain as best you can. I know you have Xanax and that does help you some. We suggested you might try Klonopin instead. Have you asked your doctor about this? One other thought, you know how you breathe through the pain when you're in labor? I think it might really help to try to do the same thing when the panic feeling comes over you. Deep breathing can also help to calm you. So, you can give the ER a try, but like you said, it's a big hassle to even get there, and if they can help you and when will depend on the ER sitution that night. Good luck. Jeanne in WI > Hi everyone hope you are feeling better than me. Anyways, I just have a > question. Lately iv had a few " episodes " usually in the evening or at > night when I have SOOOO much pain I cant handle it, I freak out (panic attacks) crying, rolling around on the floor praying for the pain to just let up a little. Anyways if I were to go to the emergacy room could they do anything for me or would I just be wasteing my time? My husband wants to help but doesnt know what to do, so he wants to take me in. I would have to ack up the kids take them to a sitters house go to the er and wait, ID be more uncomfortable then I was to begin with. Sorry to complain but Im looking for advice. Anything would be appreciated. > > > Thanks for reading > ~HUGS~~

My pain meds dont work anymore and Iv had many people suggest it, including my mom. Im NOT looking to get " HIGH " just relieve some of the pain. Guest guest
It is legal to use as a medicine in a few states, but one must have it prescribed by their dr. It does help with alot of different illnesses. Pain being one of the things it helps with. I am not an expert mind you, I have just read alot about it and what types of symptoms it treats. wrote: It's funny you ask that! I had a customer ask if mj would help my pain, tee hee. Guest guest
I was reading the side effects of Lyrica out loud to hubby recently: Dizziness Blurry vision weight gain Increased appetite sleepiness trouble concentrating dry mouth He said " that sounds like pot! " Jerry and Kathi wrote: > Hi , > > I live in Oregon where we do have Medical Marijuana. My daughter-in-law was the first one in our family to get her legal license to have it and use it for pain. I went and saw the doctor at the clinic and he examined me and said that it would definately help me too. I now am legal too (cost $300 for a year) and it doesn't protect you from the federal government if you get caught with more than your allowed to have. The funny thing is I am not a pot smoker - never have been lol and now I am allowed to have 24 oz.s in my possesion for " personal use " . I am allowed to grow 22 plants in my house or garden and not get arrested by the local police (amazing lol). I keep trying to smoke a little at night to help relax my neck muscles but it makes me feel so paranoid that I tense up and it just defeats the purpose! my daughter in law says I need to keep smoking until I get used to it, but I can't even function around the house on that stuff- let alone try to go out in public lol. She swears that it helps her so much that she doesn't even take pain meds (Vicodin) anymore and she's holding down a full time job in a CPA's office. I can't even figure out my checkbook on the stuff lol. I can't honestly say whether it helps or not because I take a lot of pain meds and muscle relaxers, etc. Maybe the mixture of all that is my problem even though the M.D. who prescribed the marijuana for me told me to continue with all of my regular meds too. My regular doc has started me on Lyrica for my fibro, so far I can't tell if it's helping or not. Does anyone else take Lyrica? > > Prayers for pain free days for everyone here, > Kathi from Oregon > >
