LOL...well, now that I've reconnected to your brain pattern....load up

the flower/hippie bus and get to rilling down here...we'll convert the

bus to living space, throw on some cob details so it looks like some

weird giant sandcastle and eat poppy seeds. Happiness at it's best.

Glad you liked....and we are getting very serious in this...to whatever

level it begins and grows. If it weren't for 's current job we

might even have other locations in mind, but the central Ala region

seems to be what the universe is pushing me on for the moment...perhaps

because of the resources in the area, low low property taxes...lax,

mostly lax building codes so eco related business/building would work

well with little intrusions.

I just passed up another house I could have if I tore it down....I could

see a group of us converge on it like termites and reuse most everything

building a community...not long ago I passed up a 5 bedroom brick custom

home only a few years old because the guy said it had to be taken with a

few days, he had sold the land for a wal-mart center....and they were

going to bulldoze it....

I've found lots of different land but cash is the big deal....I'm

looking to make deals that would work...owner financed just only long

enough for us to pay it off...little down...those kinds of things. Even

someone in a position to buy what we found and sell back to us in such a

way. If I have to start with 2 acres and work from that to more land

surrounding it that's what I'll do...like I said, I'd live in a tent

myself... is a little more southern bell, not country bell...and

enjoys her a/c, tv, and more comforts. Maybe we could throw a big new

double wide up on a land deal, but personally don't see that as a good

route.

Whatever is built or converted and blended into the property, I see more

of the semi underground, strawbale and adobe coming forth with inner

connected areas to other parts of the spaces...one flowing into the

other.

I know some communities that go in and everyone buys in with a monthly

fee, and then builds a certain kind of dwelling, but in an intentional

community sort of way. However...that's not practical for many...and if

someone shows up [invited] with only a tent and an idea, they wouldn't

be less welcome than if someone showed up with a million bucks to offer.

I know some, who haven't truly looked at much of the info will have some

strange ideas about envisioning what I'm talking about but it's not

about grass huts, caves dug out of the dirt and a bunch of strange

people doing some strange stuff...though much of that could be

true...lol.

And no one has to give up what they have now....the community can still

have tv, cable, internet...using all the modern stuff, but perhaps in

better ways...maybe like leaving the tv on the new " green " channel that

use to be discovery...lol. It's just now, you mostly use one tv, not 20.

Computer uses can be located in key points and better focused for uses.

Cooking and meals could be done in one larger kitchen and dining area,

or maybe just meals together several times a week and other times in

their own family areas. Personally...I could see one bigger

home/community area that expands by adding on as more room was needed

and worked together....your own personal rooms or apartment like areas

that open out into the main areas...but many might like th idea of stand

along dwellings in different areas of the property.

I'm not yet sure how to best set up the finances and what each might

offer in some way. Maybe you work towards 100. month or something...or

more as it was decided...which takes care of the base things...like

energy, property taxes, etc...then part would be a secondary fund for

foods, seeds, plants, etc...and then another fund that was for

operations and savings towards a windmill, solar panels, loads of

materials for projects..parts to convert vehicles, etc...

All I know is I'm actively looking right now for property...if 2 acres

and a tent is what I start with...so be it... would still have to

commute out to work for now, or if more were incoming the consideration

of a small apartment or house for those working in ton would help in

that...just a thought.

We passed up a 68 acre farm not long ago...couldn't swing the deal...it

would have been perfect, and if the deal was made in todays market I bet

it would be accepted...it had lots of features that could have been a

community in full operation the next day.

Another cherry we let go was a herb farm...15 acres with big old house,

strawbale barn, office space, outside storage, outside showers, 2

greenhouses, a composting toilet build outside that people from all over

came to see, as well as experience cob building by the owners. It also

had an additional 40 acres down the hill planted in pines they were

going to sell in a couple years worth hundreds of thousands of dollars,

not that we had that in mind so much as excellent low impact building

and camping...at the time the owner wanted 125,000....a steal....you

couldn't touch it now for less than 300,000...I cry when I think of that

one...lol

Anyway....yes, I'm open to ideas...mostly open to those who have been

thinking about something like this. I'm not going to be concerned with

it ever being an open community, and possible teaching center so much as

just those interested coming together and deciding to create something

worth doing. I walk outside this house now, wanting to get my hands

dirty creating something...and then I feel the energy leave....I would

do anything here...I want my energy going into something I want to

mold...something that's " living " ...something that actually has a real

meaning.

And when we're done getting muddy, we all go run and jump in the creek

and skinny dip. " Oh no, we knew those people were strange " . Ok, maybe we

won't all go do that....maybe not at the same time....lol

Ok, disengaging from brain stem now....
