Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, I think we all need shrinks. I don't know what I'd do without one. That's terrible that you were assaulted on Christmas Eve. What happened? I've been sick and away from the group so you may have described this before, but I'd surely be interested if you want to tell me. I'm sorry you woke up with a panic attack. they are so scary. The only actual Panic Attack I've had was as I was waking up. I was on a plane going on vacation (I love flying so that wasn't it) and it wasn't full so I had plenty of room to snuggle down with a blanket and fall asleep. I woke up in a terrible panic attack. It was the first one I had ever had and it was a dousy. I don't remember if I was dreaming about anything. My doctor said later that he thought that since I lived such a stressful live and held it together all the time, maybe I was truly able to relax and it all came to me at once and caused the panic. Maybe because I wasn't with my kids and didn't have to hold it together. I don't know. But it is strange to wake up in a panic attack. Take care, Marti Kate Court wrote: OMG ! My heart is racing so bad.I found out yesterday that the security guard who attacked me has been charged so I will be called in to testify. Great what a great New Year to look forward too. Guest guest
Ive had it all day, I tried to distract myself by going house hunting and the library to sign up for school again, but I can't shake it, its a feeling like something really bad is gonna happen. My skin has the creeps. I don;t know if the dog is feeding off my anxiety or the fact that he is acting strangely is scaring me. Unlike other animals my Dog is with me 24/7 the shops, the Dr's the petrol station, the library where I go he goes so we are pretty symbiotic anyway. I just feel like I'm in an episode of the twilight zone. Re: Panic attacks Bonnie, I am so sorry. How did all that happen. What a jerk. Guest guest
It's true my kids left last night to go to my ex's for the weekend, its the first time Ive been alone, since it happened. I was at the shopping centre with my dog and this security guard didn't like him being there, since it was 5.30 on Xmas eve instead of calling his license in and being told he's an assitance animal you can't touch him " , he instead decided that he would " handle it himself " and crash tackled me to the ground then tried to drag me kicking and screaming from the centre. The worst part was that I was screaming at customer service staff to call the police and she picked up her hand bag and said " not my problem, Im outta here " . I don't know maybe I do need some counselling for this one. Re: Panic attacks Hi Bonnie, I think we all need shrinks. I don't know what I'd do without one. Guest guest
Bonnie, that is just so horrible. Were you badly hurt. I can't believe how he tackled you to the ground over having a dog at the mall. Any assault is awful, but from someone that is supposed to protect you. I hope you do talk to someone. You have experienced something terrible. And I am glad they are bring charges against him too. Maybe you should sue him! Take care of yourself, Marti wrote: I am so sorry this happened to you. I cannot believe people sometimes. What were they thinking? So glad they are bringing charges against him. I would maybe talk to someone honey. Not good to be having panic attacks. Maybe some PTSD might be at play here too? Kate Court wrote: It's true my kids left last night to go to my ex's for the weekend, its the first time Ive been alone, since it happened. Guest guest
Bonnie, I am so glad they caught the jerk! I hate that you AND your dog are having panic/anxiety attacks, but it makes sense, especially if you and your dog felt secure and it sounds as though this person was known to you and your dog, even if only as an acquaintance. Perhaps the dog is having the attacks because she/he couldn't help you? Animals are so in-tune with their owners it amazes me sometimes. And while it won't be fun going to court to testify, you WILL BE GETTING THIS JERK off the streets so he won't attack/assault anyone else! You can do this; get with your doc if you feel you need a meds adjustment during this time to keep yourself together. You know we'll listen. Darlene > OMG ! Guest guest
No I didn't know this guy at all. I feel sorry for his family. As a security guard he KNEW better and now he has no job, will get a criminal record, and won't be able to work in the industry, merry xmas to his family who probably depend on him for their livelihood. It never ceases to amaze me how stupid people really are. Re: Panic attacks Bonnie, I am so glad they caught the jerk! Guest guest
The vet said give it some time and he should come around, this probably explains why I am in so much pain right now, my alpha waves must be off the chart, no sleep, fighting, nightmares, my dog chewing his lead in two everytime I am more than 3 feet away, my kids are freaking out and social services lost their case with my other little girl so she has gone back to her mum, but since she lives 5 houses away I still have her but no money, unable to discipline or to treat her for her dreadful cough. I am still sane, I'm sure of it, I just can't explain how lol. Re: Panic attacks Hi Bonnie, I think we all need shrinks. I don't know what I'd do without one. Guest guest
Bonnie, I'm presuming here of course, but I know from stuff I've read in the past that assistance dogs usually wear a vest, etc. when they are " working " to easily identify them. Was the security guard blind???? Darlene > > OMG ! I think I need a shrink, I was fast asleep and > suddenly I woke up with the worst panic attack.
