I sure hope the Lyrica doesn't put too much weight on me because I need to lose weight and the Lyrica has really been a help. I try to work out everyday and it does seem to help for me...Of course, with the cold weather now, my fibro is worse then ever, so its harder to get motivated to do it...I have an exercise bike that I use everyday while watching tv...I try to burn 300-800 calories a day, and I also have the Sansone walking dvds that you can do in your home..When its warmer out, I walk outside... I find that after being diagnosed with the fibro, its almost impossible for me to do the exercise dvds I did in the past...I used to do the Gilad series and the buns of steel, but there's no way I could do those now...Its just too much, and funny how hard they have become when I had no problem a few years ago **************Start the year off right. They are so neat to watch, too. PBS had a program on Nature on Sunday night about raptors. If you ever get a chance, have your girls watch it with you. Owls are the " stealth aircraft " of the bird world; they're specially designed to fly absolutely quietly. I hope that they don't nest in your chimney, though! Especially if you use the fireplace! I bet they're looking for a nesting spot. I hope they find one near you; I consider nesting birds to be a blessing. Z
Guest guest
We haven't heard them again. We do use the fireplace so I hope they don't go in there. I'm assuming we have a screen over the top so they can't get in. When I was a little girl my uncle broke his ankle real bad snow skiing. He had several operations and was in casts for a very long time. He lived in one of the canyons between Los Angeles and San Bernardino. He used to ride around on his motorcycle with the cast; and let his dogs run free; etc. One day one of the dogs found an owl that had fallen from its nest in a big tall eucalyptus tree. My uncle brought it home and raised it. It was all white. He'd feed it hot dogs and I don't know what else, but he kept it fairly isolated from all other people besides him; and the dog that was very protective of the owl. He did this so he could release it again when it got old enough. He took it out to where they had found it and released it. It would come back to his house every so often and sit in a tree or something like it was saying hello; then off again for as long as they lived there.
