I'm so happy that you had a wonderful day. Great feeling isn't it? I

had a nice quiet and wonderful day myself. I finally started writing about

this whole experience and I am thrilled. I put it off for so long but I have

finally broken the ice. Happy days!

I am now ! So glad for you sweetie!!!

Dawn :)

A good day...

Today I woke up at the crack of dawn without feeling like I needed 4

more hours of sleep. I hopped in the shower and when I got out I

wrapped the towel---not a beach towel---all the way around me. I

slipped into a pair of 15/16 Jordache flare jeans and they zipped up

without me laying down and sucking it in. I was able to bend over to

tie my shoes and I wore a button-up shirt without bursting the seams. I

ran up and down the stairs three times doing laundry...never had to stop

to catch my breath. I went out shopping ---likely walked several miles,

and on a whim---I bought a scale. I brought it home and hopped on it

and found I've lost 100 lbs exactly. I ate a healthy lunch without

feeling deprived. The sun is shining and it's a nice afternoon for me

to go take a walk.

Today is a good day.

Is anyone else having a feel-good day?

Wonderful milestones achieved. It must feel great. 100 lbs.

is just super. At the slow rate that I am going, I don't know if

it if possible, but I am giving it my all. So glad you enjoyed a

wonderful day. Congratulations are in order. Sally

Hi Sally,

Some of the people on this list might remember how in the early months I was

complaining about my slow loss. I was afraid I was never going to get

there. I was constantly comparing my losses to everyone elses. Then what

I began to notice is that some people lose like racehorses dashing out of

the gate, and then the loss starts to slow down around 6 mos. Some people

tend to run along at a slow but steady pace. I really thought by now that I

would have been slowing down, but I've consistently lost an average of 2-3

lbs a week (there may have been a few plateaus followed by quicker loss---I

don't know since I've only weighed about 3 times in the last 4 mos). As

difficult as it is---don't compare yourself to others, and just take joy in

the fact that you ARE losing, and getting healthier every day!!!
