Guest guest
OK that was my attempt at humor. Dry humor like on that Disneyland ride through the jungle. I hope no one is offended by my referral to a counselor as a " shrink " . It's a term my family always used as I was growing up so its a habit for me. The way I see it the counselor is going to help me shrink some of my issues to a manageable size. Well I can hope at least. My head is killing me tonight and I should probably take an Imitrex but I'm hesitating. I really don't like the way it makes me feel. I swear I can feel the blood vessels shrinking throughout my whole body. The back of my head, neck, and shoulders are the worst. So I'm sitting here wishing the migraine would give it up without the Imitrex. This is my exciting Friday night. I guess I'm feeling better because otherwise I wouldn't care. Or my head hurts enough that I don't notice the rest of me. And instead of taking Imitrex, have you asked your doctor for a sample of Maxalt (the version that you just let melt in your mouth)? I have been taking those for at least 4 if not 5 years and they working amazingly fast. I took the pill form for a few years and then had a doctor at the clinic I used to go to for physcial therapy. He had me try one --- said he got migraines also and they worked well for him. And I have discovered and my co-workers (back in the days when I still worked) that within minutes the pain begins to ease dramatically. But I think that means, since it melts, it gets into your system much faster. I do wish, though, that the makers would change the flavor! After awhile, it becomes rather disagreeable, so I have to have something to get the taste out of my mouth. > ______________________________________________________________________ ______________ > Never miss a thing. Guest guest
I call my therapist my shrink all the time. I like your description of shrinking the issues to a manageable size. Had never thought about it that way, but will. Hope your headache is better today. Take care, Marti Angie wrote: OK that was my attempt at humor.
