Guest guest
My newest grandson is 9 months old and weighs 24 pounds and when I hold him I feel NO PAIN! Of course after he leaves is a different story but he is more than worth the lingering pain afterward. And I may not be the most physical grandma but I may be the most loving and that counts for something I am sure. Gentle hugs, Marla In a message dated 1/18/2008 5:40:46 P.M. Guest guest
Congratulations Lori. Wonderful news. You will be a good grandmother. That baby will feel nothing but love from you. You will probably spoil the child rotten. Don't let the old fibro put you on a guilt trip. It will limit you physically but it won't make any difference because the love that baby will have for you won't be any less. hugs, Debra V. Lori Hammer wrote: OT_ I am going to be a grandmother. We bought all of our daughters boyfriends kids Christmas gifts. It was fun I have to admit. But this will be my own Grandchild. And I do not know what to feel. What greater gift is there then that of a grandchild that I have waited for 30 years for. my oldest that is going to be a daddy called the other morning and was so excited he heard the baby's heart beat. I guess I just do not know how to act and I am frightened to death that I will not be able to take care of them. My son is the one that has the same birth date as me. day is . Guest guest
Congratulations Lori! I'm sure the new grandchild will be a blessing. You'll get much more pleasure than stress, I'm sure. Guest guest
Congrats on the new grandbaby. I think you will be a great Grandma, despite the fibro. You can give your love and affection to the new baby. That is at least something you can freely give, despite your illness.. Hugs, Dave and Jeanne wrote: Congratulations Lori! While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone.
