Guest guest
Christi, does it feel like a burning pain? Is it sharp? My shoulders have been hurting alot lately... especially the right one. Does your upper back hurt? Mine starts in the upper back around the shoulder blade and collar bone. Sometimes I get horrible shooting pains down my right arm from nerve compression in that area. hugs, Debra V. Christi Randall wrote: I hurt today. My left arm is hurting so bad that all I want to do is hold it close to my body and don't use it. But that is not possible at work. My right is hurting too, but not as bad. I hate this. I cannot take anything until 1 p.m. for the pain. UGH! Thanks, I just needed to whine/complain a little bit. I will survive it, I always do, it is just misarable while I am in this flare. It even hurts to touch my arm. I hate this!!! Christi in Texas --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search. Guest guest
It is centered around my elbows and feels like a throbbing type of pain. My shoulders are one massive tight knot so I know that does not help. Been that way for years. Really need to do some stretching, but will have to wait until I recover from my back surgery. Guest guest
Wow, me three on that! I see a chiro for my issues, and went this week. My neck and shoulder area has shooting pains that have been shooting down the arm, and it all started in my neck. Then my sciatic nerve was doing things, causing pain to shoot down my leg. All on the same side. The doc said 'wow, the whole left side' when he was preparing to adjust my spine. I get knots all where I need adjusting, and he could feel that. I'm still sore so I may need to go back. debra van ness wrote: > Christi, does it feel like a burning pain? Is it sharp? My shoulders have been hurting alot lately... especially the right one. Guest guest
Hi Christ, I live in Texas also so I wonder if maybe it's the weather? Most of the time that doesn't really have much of impact on me but my arms are bothering me today also and I am trying to get the laundry done. Gotta Luv it. > > I hurt today. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Guest guest
I know it's the weather for me. (I'm in TX too, Palmer.) I have hurt more in the past two months than not, and more than I have in a long time. This flip floppy weather has done a number on me, and then we get really cold like today (we had a little snow and sleet too ) and I just ache all over. Guest guest
Melody I'm in Manitoba Canada. Our temp today is -35 with the windchill. Over the weekend it's expected to be - 45! My hands hurt a lot when we have these temps. Elaine > > I know it's the weather for me. Guest guest
Brrr!!!! It's never been that cold here (In my lifetime anyway) but my body is acclimated to warm TX weather. So it feels like that cold when it's 39 here (like today.) And yes my hands to tend to hurt a lot during this cold weather. Guest guest
Melody There are many Texans in my other support group. I'm jealous of your weather. lol As I sit here and type my hands are like icicles and it hurts to tap the keys. If you've never felt 30 below temps you wouldn't be able to even imagine it. I live here and despise the winter. Elaine > > Brrr!!!! > It's never been that cold here (In my lifetime anyway) but my body is > acclimated to warm TX weather. Guest guest
Christi~ I have been feeling like this for months now. It has gotten so bad that even my skin hurts! I thought there was something seriously wrong with me. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who is hurting like this in just this area. Guest guest
I don't handle the cold real well - which is another reason I've lived in TX my whole life. I could not tolerate a long cold winter, ours here are pretty short thank goodness. Last night I just could NOT get warm for anything! I had to get under my electric blanket and crank that sucker up. What is your other support group for? Guest guest
OMG! My lft shoulder/neck area is sore to the touch! I went to chiro Friday after my Thurs rheum visit and she said " your shoulders are tighter than a tick " . I've been trying to remember to ice it. Bet that caused my headache last night, not the coughing..... Darlene > > I hurt today. My left arm is hurting so bad that all I want to do is > > hold it close to my body and don't use it. Guest guest
Melody I stay pretty much housebound when our temps get past - 15. I have asthma that I've been able to keep under control for some time by staying inside. My husband will drive me door to door during the coldest times and insists upon it. I'd love to live in a warm place. Just don't know anyone in a warm place. lol My other support group is for special needs children. Our daughter is adopted and has FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) Another person and I are the moderators. A VERY busy group. Hard to keep up to sometimes.
