Welcome here Angelia! You are delightful. I can tell. Welcome to the family

here Cuz. LOL. I am Debra V. in East Tx. I have been with this group for well

over a year. A great one. People reach out here to each other like nothing I

have ever seen. They will support you on just about anything.

Yup... I'm that long lost FibroCuz that's been missing! I guess I should

introduce myself before ya'll throw me out on my behind.

I am Angelia , Mom to , Wife to Kerry. I live in Woodlawn,

Tennessee on the Kentucky border. I am a healthy, happy 46 year old that's just

living in a horrible body!!!

This particular body suffers from insulin dependent diabetes, neuropathy,

heart failure, mitral valve regurgitation, heart disease, ADD, GURD, OCD, PTSS,

(doctors are trying to make sure I have every letter in the alphabet),

degenerative disc disease, spina bifida, asthma, arthritis in my back and knees,

and our friendly monster FIBROMYALGIA! Oh and this here body had a couple of

minor heart attacks in 2007!

Today I had GOOD news! After 4 1/2 years I finally have my Social Security

Disability hearing!! February 8th is the big day!! The lawyer said today that

it's open and shut but it's been so long getting there that I'm a little

scared!!

Well, I don't want to scare ya yet so I decided to answer your questionnaire

so you can get to know your newest cuz! So the answer is.....

1. What is your occupation? Mom to & Wife to Kerry

2. What color are your socks right now? Socks?? Ohhhh I don't wear those in

bed but I do have on fuzzy purple booties.

3. What are you listening to right now? Gray's anatomy rerun

4. What was the last thing you ate? Hubby made salisbury steak, corn, green

beans, & black eye'd peas.

5. Can you drive a stick shift? Yup.. sure can but the 19 year old Monster

Child never got the hang of it. So he can't borrow Mom or Dad's cars ::giggle::

6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Pink

7. Last person you spoke to on the phone? Helen Hodges who called to let me

know her daughter had to have open heart emergency surgery!! Scary!!

8. Do you like the person who sent this to you? Who was it? I love everyone

that sent it via the group even though I don't know you! I do know that you

deserved to be loved just because you survive each day!

9. How old are u today? 17013 days, 23 hours, 14 minutes, 20 seconds or 46

Years and 6 months come Saturday!

10. Favorite drink? Unsweet Tea no lemon.

11. What is your favorite sport to watch? Football - Tennessee Titans of

course!

12. Have you ever dyed your hair? Yes, before the body snatcher swapped out

my body for this one I was a cosmetologist and if you talk the talk you have

to walk the walk. I've been blond, red, orange, and a number of colors in

between.

13. Pets? Cats, cats and more cats. They come to live here because they know

I'm a sucker for animals!

14. Favorite food? Pizza, Spaghetti or fried chicken!

15. What was the last movie you saw? Star Wars?? no, wait, the kid took me

to the last Harry Potter I think. I kinda fell asleep in the theater so I'm

not too sure!

16. What was the last book you read? Not too sure... I read a lot of

romance/suspense type books.

18. What was your favorite toy as a child? Does a swimming pool count?? Or

do I have to say Barbie?

19. What is your favorite season? Spring

20. Hugs or kisses? Hugz

21. Cherries, Blueberries or Strawberries? Strawberries

22. Do you want your friends to email you back? I love email just don't

answer it all the time but love to hear from my friends!

23. Who is most likely to respond? Schelese or Roy

24. Who is least likely to respond? Joy

25. Living arrangements? Hubby of 25 years (30 if you ask him because we

dated for 5) and our 19 year old monster child (son).

26. When was the last time you cried? ( with pain?) Yesterday when I saw my

doctor. I kinda loose it with him because I think the world of him and hate

that he has to treat this silly body.

27. What is on the floor of your closet? (Which closet?) Nothing

28. Who is the friend you have known the longest that you are sending this

to? Joy

29. What did you do last night? Napped, Played online bingo, and watched tv

all at once ::snicker::

30. Favorite smells??? Flowers and the smell of a spring day after a rain.

31. What or who inspires you? Hubby is my inspiration. He is always there

for me and just gives of himself without every giving up.

32. What are you afraid of? Never having my body back. Never being able to

do the things I love to do.

33. Plain, cheese or spicy hamburgers? Plain

34. Favorite dog breed? Dachshund

35. What is on your key ring? Keys, keys, and more keys. Some of those card

things that saves you money, an H key ring.

36. How many years at your current job? Let's see... wife to Kerry for 25 or

like I said 30 if you ask him. Mom to for 19 1/2.

37. Favorite day of the week? Any day that I don't hurt!!!

38. How many states have you lived in? 2 Tennessee and Kentucky

39. Favorite holidays? New Years Day because it's a new year and a new

chance to get well!

40. Ever driven a Motorcycle or heavy machinery?? Does a 4 wheeler count? or

maybe the School Bus I use to drive? or the tractors?

It's plum great to meet ya! I'm terribly sorry but I'm out of sweet tatar

pie but I do have some homemade ice cream and sugar free apple pie that I don't

mind sharin'!

Angelia, welcome from Georgia (where it's snowing and of course, the

stores are packed because there's never ever gonna be another loaf of

bread or gallon of milk).

I didn't get the dx until this past Thursday, but have suspected it for

a time now....lol....and when I look back and see all I used to be able

to do, it could make me cry so instead, I am focusing on what I can

do " today " , even if that is only to run a load of clothes or empty the

dishwasher! Because an accomplishment is an accomplishment, no matter

how small and I really think that when we get down and depressed (and

don't let me fool you, I have depression/anxiety but it doesn't have

me, most days), it's when we've looked back.

I will 2nd what Debra said. You have a sunny disposition that just

oozes thru the screen! Welcome to the family cuz......glad the door was

left opened and unlocked!

Teach HIM to make the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. It

would be good for him to learn.
