Guest guest
HI Elaine, Sounds like Fibro to me. I had symtoms for years of unexplained muscle pains and I thought I was just out of shape so I would try excercising but this only increased the pain so i would stop. I went to one Dr. that totaly DISmisssed me and then another for the same DISmissal and finally one Dr. though I might have FM so he sent me to a Rheumatologist who confirmed the diagnosis(DX) but niether Dr. would treat my pain effectively and that's been 10 mos. ago so come Monday the 21st I see a Fibro Dr. that an acquaintance recomended, she said he is Dr. that doesn't believe in letting a person suffer. I go to bed in pain and I wake up in pain. I take a hand full of pills just to knock myself out so that I can get some sleep or rest. I hope you find the right Dr. soon!!! May GOD Bless YOU Elaine ! ! ! . . . ................. . . . M To: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group@...: ElaineFASDMom@...: Fri, 18 Jan 2008 14:18:41 -0600Subject: Introducing myself... I'm a new member. Not dxed with Fibromyalgia but wondering if I have it.I want to learn more about it before I approach my Dr.I'm in a support group for parents with special needs childrenand someone posted some into on it. It sounded just like me.Here are my symptoms.Feeling tired a lot .Feeling sick for no apparent reason.Restless sleep (dxed with RLS) am on meds for that. Still I only sleep until about 5 am.IBSUnexplained aches and pains.Depression and anxiety. ON meds for both..I feel that I am generally a happy person and wonder why I get depressed. In my head I can talk myself out of anxiety, but not my body.I saw the heading " Sore Arms " and it made me think of having a shower today andmy arms feeling too tired to lift.During period time I am exhausted. Beyond what I think " normal' is.I had surgery in May 2007. I was almost paralyzed for 3 days because of temporarymuscle damage. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.Any comments and responses are appreciated.THANKS, Elaine[Non-text portions of this message have been removed] _________________________________________________________________ Connect and share in new ways with Windows Live. http://www.windowslive.com/share.html?ocid=TXT_TAGHM_Wave2_sharelife_012008
Guest guest
Elaine, Glad you found this site! I think you may have it as well (I took the online test). The rheumatologist said that what the PCP thought was mono in December was likely the beginning of a massive flare. You'll like it here!
