Guest guest
Hi Jeanne, I'm glad the combo is working well for you. I tried Cymbalta and it made me jittery and other stuff I can't remember now. I take Provigil for Narcolepsy for Sleep Apnea. Did you have any side effects when you first started taking Cymbalta that maybe went away? I'm wondering if I should give it another try. I take Wellbutrin and Lexapro which my doctor says are similar to taking Cymbalta, but it doesn't help the pain. I think the Provigil helps a little by itself and maybe the Wellbutrin too. But if the side effects go away I would try Cymbalta again. Can't seem to ask a simple question. I just keep rambling on. Sorry. When I was only on 60 mg. of Cymbalta a day, the Provigil didn't do much. But once we increased the Cymbalta, now the Provigil is helping. It lifts my mood as well as fighting the fatigue. My dr's reply was that there are studies being done right now combining these 2 meds for people with FM and CFS. Just thought you all might want to know. Guest guest
I would like to know too. I started Cymbalta last night and it feels like my heart is jumpy. I also feel like I have eaten a large meal and I feel full after only a few bites. I didnt sleep through the night for the first time in weeks. I kept waking up and getting really hot even though the room was cold. Theresa in Tn Marti Boguski wrote: Hi Jeanne, I'm glad the combo is working well for you. Guest guest
Ramble away, Marti You're doing fine. I can't remember much about when I first went on Cymbalta. I had been on Effexor prior to that. I think we tapered off the Effexor and began the Cymbalta and I didn't really notice any difference. When increasing my dosage a few months ago, I did have a week or so of extra fatigue and it took a couple weeks before I noticed an improvement on the depression. I used to be on Wellbutrin in addition to the Cymbalta as well, but my psychiatrist took me off it in fall of 06 because we were trying new drugs like Neurontin and Topomax, and eventually the Provigil. Guest guest
From what I understand, both cymbalta and the Effexor are energizing anti-d's. If you're not used to this type, I could see you having trouble sleeping and the other stuff. It might be temporary, but you really should check with your doctor as to whether you should keep taking it or not. Good luck. Jeanne in WI > > I would like to know too.
