Debbie, I hope it gets better for you. I know I always say that, but I really

do. I just wish I could take this miserable invisible demon of a disease and

kill it. I want to save us all. I am so mad this morning about the ny times

article. I am infuriated with it to the point I cannot hardly think.

ALL WE HAVE IS EACH OTHER with this damn demon. It sucks.

I love you even if I have never seen you face to face.... because we have a

bond of understanding that many others cannot even begin to understand.

love,

Afraid to drive but will need to after lunch for sure. Have to find a

is on for sure. Have to go walk outside now to wake myself up.

I'm sorry you're having such a bad start to your day. Are they working on the

water line or was it shut off for another reason? I would be really hard

pressed to go without a toilet that long. The anxiety alone would make my IBS

act up. My laundry piles up anyway. I don't like to go down the stairs so I

wait and wait until there is this overwhelming pile to plow through. Sometimes

I use the laundry shoot to get it down there - throwing it down the stairs.

Hope you day gets better.

Thanks Marti,

They are replacing all the big water lines on our two connecting

streets that end in cul-de-sacs. Today they are tearing up our

neighboring cul-de-sac and soon will do ours. Joy Joy. The streee of

this is making my IBS act up, too.

This is the week of my body scan on Friday. Yesterday and today

getting shots to prepare me for the scan. Tomnorrow get the

radioactive iodine pill for the scan. Lots of driving to do this

week. Friday my husband is taking me to the scan so I won't have to

drive that day.

Hi Marti,

Thanks for being a good friend to me. Lack of toilets and sinks is a

big problem. Have to put up with it again tomorrow since they will be

turning off our water again. Hope they don't tear up our circle till

Thursday when I don't have an appointment.

My nuclear med whole body scan is checking to see if I have an

thyroid cancer tissue growing in me. CAn't eat two hours before or

after the radioactive pill tomorrow. Next week getting another scan

called a HIDA to check my liver biliary tree and associated ducts.

Have to skip breakfast for that one.

Still getting a bad sinus headache so my doctor called in a steroid.

hugs,

Debbie J

ready for, but the test is so easy. Don't you just love how the

machine is not radioactive because you are!?! What are they looking

for?

Hi Debbie,

I'm sorry that you might have thyroid cancer. That's scary. My mother had to

have hers removed because of that and she is fine. Maybe there will be nothing

there. Well not nothing, but a normal thyroid.

You'll probably need an eye cover to sleep tomorrow night. You will probably

glow in the dark. Gosh I try to make a funny, but I can't even remember the

name of the thing that covers the eyes.

Hope your liver is fine too. Why all the tests? Are you having a lot of bad

symptoms?

It's rough to go through all of this. - particularly when you don't even have

water

I'm also sorry about your sinus problems. I have those a lot too. I had a

sinus infection before Christmas that turned into bronchitis after Christmas and

last week became pneumonia. I've been on antibiotics for a while now. Trying

to stay out of the hospital.

I hate steriods. I take 20 mg of Prednisone and was weaned down from 60mg. I

take it for Sarcoidosis. I hope to be down from 20 to 10mg soon. It makes me

puffy and blown up like a blow fish.

Good luck on your tests.

>Goodness, you remind me of the OLD days when you had to go to

the " out house " and take the " chamber pot " out each day! Ugh! Another

reason I don't ever want to go camping anymore. Be sure you have

several pans of water before they turn your water off!

And after Marti's description of the scan, I now know what I had 10

years ago. If they do yours the way my was done, I got to watch the

screen as the machine looked at my whole body and the tech told me why

the colors changed. And she also asked me about certain changes which

had me really remembering every knock, fall, etc. I could remember

ever having. Considering I am 62 and have been having X-Rays at least

since I was a teenager, I wonder if they have done any damage to me???

But I do hope all goes well for you AND that they don't have your

water off for very long! And not only that, but it's a terrible time

of the year to have the water turned off!

Dear Debbie,

I know we're not really allowed to talk about prayer and stuff around

here but I just wanted to try and give you some hope during this. My

sister, too, was diagnosed with possible thyroid cancer over the last

summer. The doctor said her cells were abnormal and it was most likely

cancer. He did the surgery in August, removing the whole thyroid

instead of just the affected gland, because " it was malignant " he said.

Based on how it looked, this very experienced talented knowledgeable

doctor was sure her thyroid was riddled with cancer!

Meanwhile I was emailing everyone I know for prayer chains and prayer

requests, they were putting my sister's name in their churches, and

telling everyone they know, the 'prayer tree' branched out all over the

US and farther.

So I don't judge or condemn anyone's beliefs, all I know is when those

pathology tests results came back at the end of the week, there was no

cancer! None. Some may say sure it's a coincidence, and that is

everyone's right. I believe in the power of prayer.

So just know you are in my prayers, and I hope this doesn't offend

anyone because I honestly would not be living this very day if it wasn't

for prayer and my own faith and beliefs.

Gentle hugs, thinking of you!!!

I hope your day got better, Debbie. I also hope your water gets fixed once

and for all. What a pain.

Thanks Jeanne.

Today they finally finished our plumbing after turning off on too

soon this morning. It was supposed to be off at 8am but they turned

it off 7:45 by accident. My husband, who doesn't usually get irate,

was today. He stormed out in the cold weather with just his jeans on.

Bare foot, too. The water was turned back on about 3:30 and will stay

on now that they are done. Confirmed it with the spokesman. Finally

got my load of towels washed.
