Guest guest
The past several weeks a company is replacing many of the pipes on our two roads. Both roads end in cul de sacs, and we live in one. Those two roads are the only way out of our area. Both roads are torn up so it's hard to drive on them. Yesterday we got a notice saying our water will be off from 8am to 6pm today! They did turn it off around 8 this morning and it's hard to do without water! Filled our water pitcher before they shut off the water. Now using disinfective wipes to clean my hands in the kitchen or bathroom. Also use Wet Ones wipes to clean up with too. Glad we do have a six pack of water so we can use that today too. It's just a real hassle of not having water now and it's only noon. Of course I am very thirsty. Guest guest
I can't imagine. What a pain. They turn ours off here pretty often but only for about 2 hours or so. The apartments leave a notice on the door that the water will be off the next day from 1pm to 3pm. I guess they do it to fix leaks or something????? I don't know. One day I had put some bleach in my hair (I do it blonde)... then a color.... it takes a while. I JUST got done with it and rinsed everything and the water went off. I guess I missed the note that time. Good thing I had that stuff out of my hair or I would not have had any hair left. LOL...... I would have went somewhere and begged someone to let me rinse my hair I guess. What a disaster that would have been. I can't imagine being without water that long Debbie. And what a mess to put up with too. love and hugs, Debra V. deebs87 wrote: The past several weeks a company is replacing many of the pipes on our two roads. Guest guest
We had that done a couple years ago. It is a major pain. We take for granted having these things and when they are gone we really notice it. Hope it was taken care of in just the one day. Seems ours ended up with a problem which led to an additional day or two shut off. Take care. Jeanne in WI > The past several weeks a company is replacing many of the pipes on our two > roads. Guest guest
We have a well so if the electric goes out we are totally without water. It happens a lot here in the woods so we have a lot of gallon milk jugs filled with water and stored in the garage so we can flush the Loo, water the animals, etc. We have to be prepared.
