Guest guest
Those are some very positive steps, . Good for you! Jeanne in WI Hi Friends ! ! ! Just wana let you know though I've had some bad days there have parts of the days that have been meaningful to me. Three days working around the house results in two days spent in bed on a heating pad w/blue ice. I've accomplished several things. I've refused to just do nothing as that would be to simply giving in. New Kitty cat has been a blessing, she greets me 1st thing in the morning waiting for her 1st can of food so to her I'm #1. The comfort she has to offer has been great. Her name is Snoopy as she is getting into evrything around the house but that's is ok. Learning to live w/out RX pain meds has been difficult but I AM managing fairly well. I decided not to allow the pain stop me. I pace myself in evry task I take on as not to end up in to much agony. Soon I will start reading every post and replieng to the ones I feel like I have something to contribute to. But for the past week or so I have just been skimming over most. GOD Bless You All ! ! ! . . . ................................................. . . . Guest guest
(((Hugs))) , I so know what that is like. If I do the chores around the house, I pay dearly. I usually try to baby step the housework. I love cats! I have four of my own. Do you have a Catster page for your cat yet? You can see all my brood on http://www.catster.com/cats/135860, that's Cheshire's page, when you scroll down you can see the rest of the fur family on the right hand side. Guest guest
Hi , I'm glad you've had some meaningful times and some accomplishments. Those are what keep us going. The payback for doing any kind of work is always almost double the time I need later to recover, I see you are the same. I don't know what blue ice is, does it add moisture to the heating pad? I love the name of your new kitty and I'm glad she has been such a comfort to you. My kitty LC (Little Cat) is a great comfort to me. He loves the days I'm ill and lay on the sofa with my comfy quilt so he can snuggle with me. He doesn't like the days I'm better and do stuff and he lets me know it loudly. I had been making it without pain meds for many years so I know what you are going through. Last month my doctor gave me 5mg of hydrocodone that I can take 3Xday or 3 at once, which ever I need. I can hardly believe the difference it has made. It certainly doesn't take all the pain away, I take it divided during the day, but since I've had no help with the pain it makes me feel so much better. I too have to remember to pace myself though. Since I have the meds now I have found myself overdoing it and paying for it later. Since I have pneumonia complicated by Sarcoidosis, I'm not doing much of anything right now. Just typing and reading posts is exhausting, but I want to get back to being in the group. Take care of yourself , Marti john honeycutt wrote: Hi Friends ! ! !
