With my first, the word was " titty " . Don't know how that got started *BUT*

I can tell you it was terribly embarrassing having a 2 yo have a major

temper tantrum on a crowded subway demanding " titty! NOW!! "

I have since chosen a new word, " nursey "

I haven't consciously thought about it until your message actually but my

7mth old daughter has always called feeding time " nyang " since she was just a

couple of months old (part of her cry I suppose) and it has stuck. SO we

both know what it means but no-one else in the world has any idea..LOL

We always used " nummies " but she never actually said it. Last week she came

up with her own name " mum-mum's " either one is pretty discreet. I have a

girlfriend whose dh taught their daughter to call it " boobies " and she uses

the word lol

Our son calls it " mummy-nummies " he always asks our daughter if she wants

some " mummie-nummies " when she's bugging him lol

Chelly,

Funny you should ask this. I was refering to nursing as titty and ended up

getting quite a bit of flak about it. Mainly online but some in person. I

didn't care but at the same time my son started talking and ended up making

up his own term and ever since has referred to it as " tea " you know as in

hot tea. LOL Usually what you refer to it as is what they will call it so

name nursing carefully. They start talking quicker than you can imagine.

Jen,

On the same note you should see the look on people's faces when my son asks

for " tea pwees mama " and just when everyone is thinking " oh how cute he

drinks tea " I lift my shirt. That always gets them. LOL
