You may of already wasted time with the main group as I have found in my former

posts. I do not read many of the posts as many just get beaten to death with

other people's problems and in several cases ignored completely. I am starting

a new group for those of us that seem to be falling through the cracks. I will

keep you posted.

I'm still here

Hi

I have been a " passive " member of this group lately. I have been reading some

posts, but not written much. So I thought I'd write what's going on in my life.

As for the fibro symptoms, they continue pretty much the same every day. I have

been keeping a medical journal every day in January. Basically it's just a list

of all the symptoms I have felt during the day. I looked at it last night. It's

funny, on January 1st I was NOT tired! Since then I have been tired every day.

(Of course I mean tired during the day, when you are not supposed to be tired.)

Pretty much every day I have pain. Usually it's the legs, arms, shoulders, neck

and back every day. Not so much pain, except for some days. Another symptom that

I have written most of the days is that I am freezing cold.

One good thing though, is that I weighed myself last night after the shower. I

hate doing that but I just had to know my weight. My weight last night was 54,9

kilos. And I am 155 cm, so my BMI is 22,85 which is normal weight. But the thing

is, when I grew up I was always skinny. Even the first years in university I was

rather skinny. But then I started to gain more weight and I think it was about 3

years ago that I first came over 50 kilos.

January 17th I started in a scrapbooking course. We are going to have it 5

times. The first time was boring, because we didn't do anything. We just looked

at pictures and talked a little about materials. Next time we'll start for real.

Unfortunately, we were 20 in the group and at first she asked everyone's name

and asked each of us if we have done any scrapbooking before. You know how it

is, when you say something you have 20 pair of eyes on you. I hate that. And in

the end of the evening we had to be in small groups, discussing what kind of

albums we are going to do. Well, I hate group work too, so I didn't say much and

just wished I could be somewhere else. It was not very pleasant last week. I

hope it will be better next week. I suppose she will leave us alone and let us

do the scrapbooking. During the evening I was pretty stiff, had pain in my back

and legs and that didn't help to make the situation better.

Folkdance started yesterday, but I didn't go, because we had a snow storm, I

was freezing cold and had pain in my legs, back... I'll try to go next week.

My cousin's boyfriend wanted me to translate something for him. It was 6 pages

and I had to do it in the evenings, after work. So I felt a little stressed out

about it, because he didn't give me much time and it was about a case that had

been in court. It's not so nice to come home in the afternoon, be tired and know

that you have to spend the next hours in front of the computer again, when you

would like to do something better, like reading or cross stitching. But he will

give me some money for it. May be my cousin will give them in the scrapbooking

course on Thursday because she is also there. And I sent the translation to him

yesterday so I don't have to focus on that anymore.

Right now I am at work. Still 3 more hours and then I have some things to do in

town before I can go home. I have pretty bad pain in the legs, a little headache

and a little pain in the back. Soon I'll be tired, because I am always tired the

hours after lunch.

I'd better do something useful now. But it's so frustraiting when I can't find

the words in the dictionary!!!

I am sorry if it seems I have ignored anyone. I certainly don't mean to. It is

such a large group. I only have time to skim through the messages anymore. I

am glad it is a large group, but that is the reason I miss so much here. What

with work and fibro and family, I just can't respond to even half of it. If it

makes a difference, I do care and I appologize.

I am sure this is the case without alot of members here.

You probably do but do you keep track of all movements you do, what

frame of mind, emotions, who you have been in contact with, what was

conversation, etc, how long you stayed in one position before moving?

Sometimes what I did several days ago will effect tomorrow, who I

talked to and what we talked about, etc. Neda

Oh, this sounds wonderful! I wanted to take another drawing course

in January but didn't have the money. But I've been reading a lot,

and will hopefully be able to take another course next month. Plus

I've been digging in my garden, trying to clear some roots so I can

lay down some stepping stones. It's pretty funny, because I feel

like Abe Lincoln out there chopping away with my axe! (Abraham

Lincoln, our sixteenth President, was famous for having chopped logs

in his youth - he grew up poor and was self-educated).

It's too cold to work outside this week, so I took a walk yesterday

and am still trying to decide what to do today. I should do my

physical therapy exercises but I hurt today and will hurt more when I

do them.

It's good to hear from you.

I made lots of gingerbreads at Christmas after you posted about them,

and enjoyed them very much! I gave them away as presents, too.
