Guest guest
This is one smell my overly sensitive nose picks up on right away. We are a smoke-free home, and I don't leave very often. Sometimes my girls come home from a friends and they reek of cigarette smoke. Really bugs me. It's strange, because as a kid, my dad was a heavy smoker. I loved the smell inside the car which of course was cigaretter smoke. Don't know why I loved it then, but hate it now. I remember nagging my dad in the house when I was in high school to quit, that the smoke was bothering me. He finally quit cold turkey when I was in college. Really amazed me. He got scared when a long time friend who was a doctor and smoked died from cancer. Jeanne in WI > I'm an ex smoker, and normally being around a smoker doesn't bother me. > But when it is a bar filled with smoke, it seeps into my clothes and hair. > Then it takes forever to get the smell out. Today my voice is all deep and > hoarse, reminding me of when I DID smoke and would have a late night with > too many ciggies. But I didn't smoke, > I just breathed in enough second hand I guess.
