Could it be " trabeculae? " Hope this helps. It was documented in Stedmans

Orthopedics.

word help, please

Doc says:

There is a small focal area of bony _______ injury in the outer aspect of

the medial tibial plateau.

and later he says:

Small area of bony _______ injury in the outer aspect of the medial

tibial plateau, possibly due to prior injury.

*******s/l trapicle or trabicle****** in both places.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

That was my first thought, too, but it sounds nothing like that the way

he's pronouncing it....he's Chinese, though, and hard to understand, so

you never know!

Thanks, though!

According to Stedman's electronic I think bony tubercle works.

" 1. A nodule, especially in an anatomic, not pathologic, sense.

2. A circumscribed, rounded, solid elevation on the skin, mucous membrane, or

surface of an organ.

3. A slight elevation from the surface of a bone giving attachment to a muscle

or ligament. "

This isn't much like your s/l, but could it be bony calluses?
