Guest guest
It made me drunk one time. I was walking to my moms house and I ended up swaying in a complete circle. It would have been the funniest thing to see. It helps but I still have BAD flares w/#8 pain and No prescription pain pills to take so I suffer in vain. Good thing too because the first side effect was euphoria (not a bad thing, LOL!) but after the third pill I suddenly got " drunk " and was bouncing off walls so yeah, I would say schedule yourself a safe weekend to start it, just in case. I am ok now and I am taking one pill at night, soon to start one in the AM as well. Even on my low dose, I see benefits. Ruthie
Guest guest
Hi Ruthie, I have many reactions to the changes in weather. They range from depressive symptoms to pain, fogginess and getting sick. Our weather in CT has been really weird, as it has in a lot of the country, and it seems to be different every day. The ups and downs really play havoc with all my illnesses. My bones really hurt more when it is cold, but the changes affect them too. I find when there is a steady period of whatever weather my fibro is much more manageable and the pain from the bone cancer is to. I do have pain meds, 5 mg hydrocodone that I take with ibuprofen and Tylenol and sometimes ecotrin, coated aspirin. They work better when the weather is constant. But also when I'm sick, I have bronchitis now, none of the meds seem to make much difference. I don't have any reactions to pain meds. I just can't get enough to do much good. I would like to have more hydrocodone, but my doctor says the pain will get worse and he doesn't want me to develop a tolerance to it, because I will need it then and more. Not very encouraging. I would love for the weather to calm down and stay steady. Although today the high here is 17 and the wind is blowing wildly. I will definitely be in for today. Take care, Marti Ruthie Dyer wrote: All I have for pain is Tramadol and it isn't much use unless I take two which my Dr. said is OK. I really do NOT want opiates no matter what I would have to be on the floor crying before I would take opiates because I have a bad reaction to them too. When I had eye surgery, I was given Codeine and it was nastier than the eye pain. Do you have reactions to the change in the weather? That is when it is the worst for me.
