Guest guest
Hi Everyone! My almost 11-month-old now has 6 very sharp teeth. He doesn't actually bite me very often, but he also doesn't open his mouth wide enough before unattaching!!!! That means his sharp teeth are constantly being scrapped against my nipple and it really hurts. He is very active (squirmy) while nursing and tends to turn away quickly when something else catches his attention (even if we are in a " quiet " room) but doesn't remember to let go of me 1st, so my nipple slips out through the teeth. Then he immediately wants to nurse some more, but I'm still in pain. I thought if he was sleepy while nursing it would help and it does sometimes, but I was hoping someone might have other ideas. Unfortunately, when he falls asleep nursing he starts nibbling (not too hard, but it's still uncomfortable) so I try to unattach him quickly but either that wakes him up or he bites down to try to keep my nipple from sneaking away. Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! Jean
