Now Lin, Why would they want to help me? It was as if I was a bother to be there. They were so concerned about stepping on my other doctors toes, that the neurologist felt uncomfortable being there and examining me! Joann gave me a great idea which I am doing in the morning! I hope you have the time to read this. When I get up, I am going to call my neurologists office and let them know what happened yesterday and make them aware that the hospital that I saw yesterday could not believe that my doctor did not put me in the hospital when I called on Thursday.

Dawn, I am so sorry that you had a similar ER experience, I got put in the hospital when I didn't need to and you should be in the hospital and they didn't put there. So if they were so amazed that your doctor didn't put you in the hospital? Something needs to be done with that swollen neck. I will continue to pray for you, that you will find doctors or at least a doctor that will know what to do for you. I hope up can get some rest tonight. I like JoAnn's plan. So try and get some rest, just remember you have a lot of people praying for you or sending positive thoughts you way.

take care,

Lin

Yes, Dawn,

I'll pitch in and vote for waffles and ice cream!

Now, waffles and chicken does NOT do it for me, although that is rather popular is some of these parts!

Donna,

Thanks for thinking about me! I am about to take a shower and wait for Mom! If I slept for 2 hours last night it was alot. I just want to find out what is causing all of this, and now that it is affecting my chest and how I breath, it is really scaring me! You cannot touch the upper half of my body without me being in pain! I have also lost my sense of taste and anything I put in my mouth actually feels like it is burning. I really believe it is a disc in my neck compressing on a nerve! The only reason I say this is because everything started out there and the more I do, it gets worse and worse! I also believe with my neck being swollen, that is a HUGE Clue that something is wrong there! I will let you know as soon as I know something, and I am taking my cell phone to the hospital with me so that I can call Joann and let her know what is going on as soon as I can!

I also want you to know, that Joann has know idea what she is missing out on. Cauliflower with garlic and cheese is making me really, really, hungry right now! Umm, Umm, Good! I must say being a Yankee does have its advantages! We definitely like good FOOD!!! With me it is starting to show!! Take Care and LOL and Best Wishes Always! I will let you know how I make out!

Oh MY GOSH......No, NO NO, talked to Dawn and how she likes yucky cold waffles with vanilla ice cream and that it is an East Coast thing...and then think she said waffle warm and so here I am seeing this warm waffle with dripping, melting ice cream going down arms, clothes messy as all get out and gross, and then thinking hey ya'll got us a nice cold waffle here, want some ice cream on this cold waffle? YUCKY....I told Dawn she was just plain weird and heck now ya'll are weird. Li, please don't go to their side of Waffles dripping ice cream and all sticky, icky.....help DEB Ducote All Alone in South, , who is part Rebel lets stand up together.....Awwwwwww, please someone. Really does sound yucky. Going to ask my Momma about this oddity. But until then, love you all and even your food likes, that just sort of leave me in shock, but heck that is okay. As long as you all are my family can deal with this. Hugs and love

Now I have waffle cones here but what I got from Dawn was since I was making waffles that you just take a waffle, wait tell it is cold(yummy cold waffle) is cut in squares with ice cream....yucky....then was warm waffle in squares with ice cream dripping all over the place.......So Dawn did you mean the cones and not regular waffles shaped in squares and if like squares how the heck do you hold them and keep ice cream from dripping all over you? Really you Yankee's please explain as my mind can only visualize square waffles, warm, dripping this ice cream all over faces, clothes, arms, hands, and sticky icky. So need to clarify people, when speak of waffles are you speaking of waffles make for family to eat , square etc or cones..........perhaps between the great laughter Dawn and I were in, and do mean alot of laughing, that I missed an important part of this........Hugs Dawn, you sweet lady you.

Hugs ya'll

JoAnn,

A waffle cone is just like a regular cone, it is just made with different materials and they put the batter on this machine that puts the squares on it to make it look like a waffle. I think you can even buy them in the stores now, well at least up here you can. So just so you are clear they aren't used waffles, it is a ice cream cone made to look like waffles.

Does this make sense to you now?

Okay I have one who has ever gone to a fair or such event and had an elephant ear?

Thanks Lin, I did finally figure ya'll were speaking of the waffle cones that yes have here and in Iowa and Tx. but just when Dawn and I were laughing so hard had started out as talking about me making waffles for Russ and I to eat and how like them with butter and syrup and then she said likes them with vanilla ice cream and you just have to take it from there as my thinking was this nice warm waffle cut in half with melting ice cream, then she said the waffles are cold and yuck, thinking a really great treat would have friends over cook a waffle wait till it is nice and cold slap it on some paper plate cut in half and put ice cream on this cold dry waffle.....so that started more laughing. I sure was not understanding and those made the whole thing funny beyond anything to point think we both had belly aches laughing so hard.

Russ likes the waffles cones also, I like sugar cones myself. Oh well and is elephant ear the corn? Tell me, perhaps Russ would know. Oh well, how are you feeling Lin? How is the body and what is next step to help you? I had to delete so much that if anything new in treatments, meds etc. do not know of them. So if can update me please do. Many hugs and sorry your all fogged in. Sort of dreary but perhaps you get use to it. Many hugs

JoAnn,

The Elephant ears are deep fried I believe it is close to the waffle cones anyway they make these big round things deep fry them then they take them out of the hot oil slap some butter on them then put some cinnamon on them and behold you have an elephant ear, I have heard them called by other names but can't recall them right now.

As for what's going on with me , I probably will have a better idea this evening after I get back from my doctor. So I will post a message on here and let you know what there plan is next.

Now Joann

You really have to try these things before saying YUCKY

lol....waffles with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and whipped cream

sounds simply delicious right about now. We will have to introduce

to some of the Yankee goodness while shes here then she can

bring it back for you to try :)

I'm thinking chowda in a bread bowl might make a mighty fine lunch

then hot mulled apple cider and apple cider donuts for dessert.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!

I've had them before, the sell them in Rockport in this little candy

store. They are AWESOME!

For anyone scratching their heads an elephant ear is a pastry thats

deep fried and has granulated sugar on it. Not for the low calorie

dieter thats for sure!

Donna,

Don't want to count the calories on that one. I never could eat a whole one so I would get 1 and my family would eat the most, thank goodness. Next time you are in Rockport tell them to add some cinnamon to their sugar. That is awesome. Okay now I have made myself hungry, plus I had better get ready to go to the doctors.

talk to you later.

Now must say will try all you spoke of BUT the CHOWDA......could not eat it

would throw up...and have it in Iowa and all around me but yucky just

because not big person on seafoods........only shrimp really. And if have

to see lobsters in big old tank going into eat, make them put me somewhere

that cannot see it at all as I would let them all go. Know that is goofy to

ya'll but really, my Momma and Aunt go dig clams and like lobster as does my

daughter, and oysters, yucky.....oh yucky. I really just cannot eat it. I

was raised only 45 to 50 miles from Gulf of Mexico and boats came up with

fresh seafood and we would get shrimp but if saw them alive, could not eat

them. Weird, I know. Oh well, perhaps we can eat Corn Fritters when come

your way? Hugs

Was going to bed but do want you all to know that Dawn is beyond needing a hospital. Seems the Neurologist was not aware of treatments other doctor had done etc and was leery to do something to hurt Dawn. And Dawns doctor who they thought was great was really snotty to her with a "Well how can I know what is wrong" that is not an exact quote but a general idea of his lack of wanting to help her at that time.

Also, I did tell her to phone tell them what ER said, tell them how bad she was, not going to office but ER as pain way to bad not to and that she expected her doctor there to help and if he was not concerned for her health then find another doctor in group that does care as she was not leaving without an answer and help.

Guess that might be somewhat strong but if I was her Momma, and taking her, that is exactly what would happen as she cannot and should not be left in this state with not one thing helping her or knowing her problems. Can ya'll tell somewhat upset for her?

She is the best lady and I just cannot understand these doctors, they seem to be everywhere like PODS opened up and these lousy doctors or people calling selves doctors appeared and are destroying us and not willing to help. Oh, the frustration in these words, wow.

Okay, just please continue to pray for her and know that even though Dawn is in bad place she is not alone. So very many are struggling and please know all that here we stand together, so let us stay strong and keep helping each other. Find this best place for us all.
