Guest guest
I saw my lovely rheumy today and she was saying that the websites have it backwards its not that soldiers have fibro from war, its that during their tour they are studied and they are deliberately woken up 3 times per night this gives them a psudeo-fibro in which all of our symptoms can be found in micro form and they are studied just like all other types of experiments performed on soldiers (like vaccination etc). Of course with these guys a few good nights sleep and they are back to normal whereas for us we have long term sustained sleep deprivation to the point where we have broken our alpha waves. She was telling me her average FM patient wakes up 3-5 times a night, my sleep study showed I averaged 10-15 times a night, no wonder I am screwed and no wonder my long term prognosis is in the lower end of the scale, at least now though I know what it is, and more importantly that I AM NOT CRAZY. Melody Re: Emotional & venting Hugs as well. I wld suggest that you should/need to check into heavier antidepressant and also question the poss of sleep disorder causing problems. May sound strange, but I have discovered since being dx with Central Sleep Apnea that whenever the situation arises that I do not have my extra oxygen for as few as one or two nights, I become an instant emotional wreck!! Take care of yourself!!! Cheryl M. yalgia_Support_Group , " jaimeislove " wrote: > > Thanks Melody. I feel better today. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone.
