Guest guest
Hi Tina - I think it's amazing that you are managing all that you are with your husband being disabled and you having to handle the kids in the morning, especially walking the youngest to school. Is there anyone you could call on to help with getting the youngest to school? Is there a friend from the same school who could pick them up? Does your town/city offer any kind of ride assistance for the disabled? Possibly providing a ride for your youngest might be covered in this. Or maybe there is a neighbor or church member you would trust most? It would just be one way to cut down a little bit on your stress. Don't be too proud to ask for help. OK, that's all for now. Hope you are doing OK today. Jeanne in WI > Hi Debra, > > Try not to stress ahead of time it will just make you feel worse trust me. > I have four daughters and in July my husband had his first stroke, it > scared me to death what was going to happen next and I worried myself > sick. In Aug. he had his second and third stroke and we almost lost him on > the third stroke, believe me every thought of being a single parent at 42, not working and in the pain that I am in scared the life out of me. Thank god my husband made it, he is now disabled but, he is alive. Everyday when I get up I am in alot of pain but, I have to get the three older girls up and off to school (they take a bus) and then get the youngest up and get her ready and walk her to school (our car is broke down right now)by the time I get home I am in tears because my hips, shoulder and lower back are totally in flamed but, then I have to get my husband up check his sugar make sure he takes his meds. and then I die for awhile meaning either toss and turnon the couch or in the computer chair or try and lay down but that usually doesn't work do to the rls and the insomnia on top of the fibro pains. > So keep you head up try not to stress ahead of time and my prayers go out > for your husband. > > ((((HUGS))))) > Tina
