Guest guest
Good Morning Lona, I am sure there are better days ahead for you.And it's good that you are not giving up. And keep fighting for your Disability,I to am still fighting for my SSI. I will keep you in my prayers. Guest guest
It sounds like a conspiracy to me. Really. They just wanted to fire you for unjust reasons so they started writing you up for petty crap to be able to fire you " legally " . What _$$ 's. Think very seriously about an attorney. I don't know if you would have a case, but it is worth it if you do. And keep trying for the disability. Hope it comes through. I know what you mean. I don't see how I could file for it while I am still working. They might say " well, you are working now " ..... Take care, hugs, Debra V. FOR WAITING ON MY > HUSBAND! Lona, if you have documented everytime they have written you up, get a lawyer and/or call your state's department of labor. There are state laws as well as federal laws that can cover such incidents. And I think, if you have not already done so, I would call Allsup either first thing Monday (not sure they will be open because of Holiday) or Tuesday. Get the ball rolling that way! I just can't say enough about how much they helped me when I called and requested they help me file.
Guest guest
Lona - Can't you file for unemployment now? That would give you a longer break before having to find a new job. Guest guest
I applied for UE benefits about 20 minutes after I was fired! Now I'm just waiting to see if I was approved. I was going to file for partial anyway, because my hours had been cut back so badly. I also applied for a supplemental student loan to help with living expenses. I am hoping to avoid having to apply for foodstamps, though. As an online student, I can't really cut back in the area of internet or phone, so I have to have ways to help with the bills. Hubby says he doesn't care if I never go back to work. I perform a valubale service just be being here when he gets here. Since he was raised to believe that it is his responsibility to provide, he doesn't like that I work outside the home anyway. I do it because it makes me feel like a contributing member of the family. I feel better about myself when I work. Right now, I feel good about my B average in school after failing last term. I may just stay right at home!
Guest guest
There are copies of the write ups in my personnel file, but I am not legally entitled to a copy of them myself. Most of them are for stupid stuff-like not vaccuuming the doormat. Time clock checks on stuff like that will show that I was clocked out anywhere from 10-20 minutes before my shift ended. I don't even care enough about the job to fight about it. I can have another job, doing what I am trained to do, inside of a week if I want it badly enough. I just feel sorry for the rest of the girls that work there. Management has already forced out every man that has been employed there. The girls are expected to work like men, work through lunches but clock out for them, work off the clock at the end of the shift, and do the work of 3 or 4 people in one shift. It's ridiculous. I only took the job to start with because we were supporting my daughter and her son. Now she is working and on her own. I don't have to provide for them anymore. (we still help. you know how grammas are....)
Guest guest
Cheryl~ I stopped working for disability after the most recent fiasco. I received notification in May that I was finally going to get a hearing after having filed an appeal in 2005. I never heard another thing from them until a few days after Christmas. At that time, I got a letter from the hearing judge, wanting to know why I had not been in attendance at my hearing, which had been the day before Thanksgiving! She wanted a letter stating my reasons, which was to be received by her no later than December 12. Since I did not get her letter until the 27th, that was not likely to happen....lol. I have no medical insurance, so no medical history to give them anyway. I don't go to the doctor because I plain out cannot afford to pay 65 dollars to walk through the door. I don't take prescription meds for pain or go to physical therapy anymore. I take over the counter analgesics and pray for the best. I stopped going to therapy when they started billing me 300 per session and not following the doctor's directive. (you don't really have fibro, you just need to lose weight-get on that treadmill over there and walk for 60 mins.) Unless I can get medical assistance again, I cannot go to the doctor. Legally, if you have a disability claim pending, the state is REQUIRED to give you medical assistance until it is approved, no matter what your income or how long it takes to get approved. I don't have medical assistance. Oh well. There is nothing left I can do but work until I can't work anymore and then go on welfare. As hard as I have worked all my life, when I can no longer do it, they still tell me I can and must, because I am too young to be disabled. Guest guest
They need to be reported to the labor board. I hope someday they get their A_ _ 's sued. It sounds inhumane. hugs, Debra V. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3.
