I know you feel like the world is dropping a load of

bird____ . But thank God you are ok and did not get

hurt. I know you don't feel like hearing that from a

stranger who has just joined the group.

But as a paramedic i have seen seen so many nasty

wrecks from engine breakdowns.

Gods Speed and best of luck

My house is called " chaos central " because every day is just like that one.

Yippee I have a comrad in arms, hugs darl your gonna need it. Yippee Yippee I

met a real person after all.

hehehe

Bonnie (the worman who has 3 different types of breast cancer all at the same

time whilst not having it all)

I'm going to be a bit busy for the next week -- OT

My car died

On 695 East about 5-9 miles after the Key Bridge (MD)

In the left lane.

Going about 65-70 miles per hour. It was the timing belt.

Did I mention that the left lane had a jersey wall (no shoulder)?

Did I also mention that I don't have AAA?

Guess who is looking into that?

Guess who has no extra money to deal with this extra bit of frustration?

-----------

I'm still trying to decompress and I'm still rather " upset " for lack

of a better word. After the one mechanic looked at this morning there

was nothing they could do except refer me to my dealership for my type

of car. The time belt did go. Now my engine is destroyed. It is

going to cost me $4,000 to get it fixed. Before you all start

lecturing about the cost vs. worth... I know and it really is the best

option for me. But the past 24 hours have been really not good to me

and now my body is giving me a huge " FU " .

Thankfully, I was NOT hit while sitting for the police to arrive.

They had to shut down the road where I was on 695 to get my car out of

the road. There was much drama with my parental units while trying to

deal with the police and other things at the same time. I had to be

up at 6:30 a.m. to get to the car place by 7 a.m. to deal with that.

I'm feeling a bit fried right now to say the least but everything is

taken care of as much as it can be.

*cry*

I won't be very active or reading most the next few days.

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as

to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr.

Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to

certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.

2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be

afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation

better.

same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something

another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member

may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal

with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense

of humor.

5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let

us know so that we can do our best to offer our support.

Have a nice day everyone.

Oh . How horrible. I am so sorry honey. It always seems something in

life has to throw more stress on us. FM is enough to deal with everyday. We

flare when stress hits... so we deal with more than just the everyday stress of

the situation.

My heart is with you.

Hope things work out. I am sure they will somehow.

love and hugs,

So sorry !! car problems are a big pain in the patooty! I would

have been terrified in your place, because I've been in an accident where I

was rear-ended. So thankful you were not hurt. Feel better soon.

I have to agree having blown up every single car I have owned I can tell you a

dead $100,000 car doesnt go any better than a dead $500 car. Think of it this

way, the repayments on a car loan would be $100 per month. Repayments on $4,000

worth of repairs plus on going costs SSOOOO much more. Payoff a car that you can

own instead of flogging a dead horse, it is dead you know ? thats the problem

with cars unlike horses we can't help but kick them one more time just to be

sure.

Re: I'm going to be a bit busy for the next week -- OT

,

I wont berate you, I know the exact position you are in as far as

fixing a car. Mine was 21 years old and I had spent many thousands

in the last 2-3 years on keeping it repaired. Far more than the car

was worth. It was a case of either I fix it or I am without a car.

Finally my grandson said he couldn't live with the idea of my driving

that car and he bought me a beautiful used car. Now I realize how

insane it was of me to keep that car running. Unless your car is

fairly new, your $4,000 will just be the beginning. For your sake I

will keep my fingers crossed and hope that it is worth it.

It is the first step to trying to make that situation

better.

3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is:

Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe

4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the

same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something

another member says the wrong way.
