Guest guest
Hi all-- I have been reading a good book called Healthy Digestion the Natural Way. I came across this passage: " Avoid drinking ice-cold drinks, or drinking too much liquid with meals. Ice-cold drinks slow down digestion and too many beverages overload digestion. " With so many of us (1) attending to our digestive systems and (2) drinking very cold water to flush out our systems and cool our faces down, I thought this would be of interest to the group. My father once said something about it being best to drink water that is room temperature, but this is the first time I've read the advice in print. I'm curious--is anyone else familiar with this prescription, or does anyone else follow it? --beth
