Your note is the first one that describes what I have gone through

for years. It is in the back of the heel and hurts the most when I

am trying to sleep or when I use an ottoman. I did see a podiatrist

for another problem recently so I asked him about it. His reply was

that a nerve was being pinched and all I needed to do was use a

pillow at night under my feet as you described. I still have the pain.
