Guest guest
> I live in Peabody, MA. Hi Ginny!! I'm about 15-20 min from where you are! I live in Gloucester I see the dr again a week from monday...but when I saw him a week ago all he mentioned was that he was diagnosing me with RSD and that he was going to start me with PT again. He didn't tell me what RSD was or how it was going to affect me so when I got home I > went online and looked under webmd for info on RSD Your dr wouldnt by chance be Dr. Vaisman would it? Anyway, Glad to meet you Ginny! Welcome to the boards! Donna
Guest guest
Robin, Be careful of the Lipitor. my husband was on it and had terrible pain in his legs, feet and hips. He couldn't lie in bed without his hips hurting. We got a new mattress and he went to a foot doctor and spent tons of money and got lifts for his shoes. One day I googled lipitor and looked up side effects and hip pain was a biggie. One older man had even had 2 hip replacements! Scarey stuff! Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the group. I feel so badly for you. You have a full plate! I hope that they can find some relief for you soon. I just started on Lyrica and other than making me loopy, I haven't noticed any help yet either. I don't know how long you have been on it but give it some time. It may be one of those drugs that has to build up in your system before it helps. ~~~~~ in Indiana _____ From: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group [mailto:Fibromyalgia_Support_Group ] On Behalf Of brenda borts Sent: Sunday, January 27, 2008 7:05 PM To: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group Subject: New to the group Hi everyone. Guest guest
Hi . I have been on Lyrica for 2 weeks now. I have not been on any pain meds. Does anyone here take some? For some reason i think my doctors like having me in pain. Everytime they ask me my painscale it is always 8,9 or 10. I just wish i had something to take it away for a little while. mom to Caleb (28 weeker) New to the group Hi everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the group. I'm new too. I've posted a little but I've had a pretty rough couple of days and haven't posted much lately. I'm sorry you're having such a rough time of it. How old is Caleb now? I know how hard it is to care for a baby when dealing with Fibro (but not one that small! lol ) I was diagnosed when my daughter was about 6 months old. That was over 15 years ago. I not only have Fibro but I'm also Bi-polar.My psychiatrist put me on Lyrica about 4 months ago. It didn't help me,except to make me gain 20 lbs! Last week I had him take me off of it and put me back on nuerontin. It didn't help my pain,I was having to take more Darvocettes while I was on Lyrica. I've been on Darvocettes for so long now that they don't do a whole lot anymore either. From reading the posts,Lyrica helps some and some it doesn't. I hope in your case it does! Well I just wanted to say welcome and introduce myself. I think you'll like it here. Take Care ~ Ginger > > Hi everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself.
