Guest guest
as long as we agree on hate crimes, I see no harm done... Hate crimes and voting I agree that the current treatment of so-called "hate-crimes" is simply wrong. Murderers should be tried as murders, etc. The "hate-crime" umbrella could be extended to almost everyone.... the elderly, the young, small individuals, virtually any "ethnic" group. We could go on and on. Almost anyone who is a target of crime could attempt to show that the perpetrator of the crime targeted them for some reason. As for the voting, there are MANY issues to consider. This election seems to me to be coming down to voting for the lesser of two evils (it usually does). I'd like to see something done about the deficit, I do not want to have tax-cuts (which mainly benefit the wealthy) enacted, and I am concerned with the environment. Oh, and "W" really is just plain old dumb. I hope that this doesn't fire up a political debate since that's not what this forum is for. We are all welcome to our own political views, and we will all certainly feel differently about what issues are most important and will drive our vote.
