Guest guest
Could the ingredient polyethanol react with something in the oil of olay foaming cleanser? This may be the answer to the few people who react to zinco. Please, everyone using zinco post how they like it and what cleanser, lotion and/or medications you use under it. Thanks, Patty matija wrote: > > Beth, I noticed when I was using the Oil of Olay cleanser twice a day > that my skin would burn when I applied the ZincO. Guest guest
I have started using Sy's bar soap, then my metrocream, then either the vita or face and body lotion for dry skin , green concealer on the blotches (physicians formula), then zinco, then either a little translucent powder (Dr. Sy) or liquid make up (Almay) and powder. That is in the morning. In the evening I wash with bar soap again, metrocream, and either vita or face and body lotion. Bobbye

I like it, (even though it is a bit too dark for me)! Skin is smoother and less red overall. My routine: am - Cetaphil (bar for dry, sensitive skin), jojoba oil, cea-Ltd. (brown disk), then wait 15-30 minutes, Zinco, Dr. Sy's loose powder (golden) pm - Cetaphil, jojoba, cea-Ltd. (yellow disk)

Guest guest
Here is my regime: am - Zia Fresh Cleansing Gel ZincO Cream pm - Hemp Oil Soap (to remove makeup), following by Zia Fresh Cleansing Gel 1 drop Vita Oil 2-3 drops hemp oil Once weekly - Noritate application. More frequent application of this causes burning. Matija

I first apply a very thin coat of emu oil, then I apply a moderate amount of the ZincO. Finally, I add another thin coat of the Zinco over problem areas. I like the fact that ZincO is a combination sunscreen, redness concealer, and skin care product. I have a light complexion, but unlike some, I do not have a problem with the ZincO tint. I use a moderate amount, and my face looks only slightly darker, like a light tan. I hesitated when I first saw the cost, but having used ZincO I can see that the 3 oz tube will last a very long time. A little ZincO goes a long way. I am quite pleased with the ZincO and plan to continue using it. Jim Clary, Dallas TX Re: SyZincOrxn
Guest guest
Hi Patty-- Here's what I do: AM--Cleanse with lukewarm water and Basis for Sensitive Skin bar (been using it since I was in high school--only thing that doesn't irritate me, though I've yet to try the Zia) Dab a glycerin and water mixture (1:3) to damp face and blot off excess. I usually do this again right before I apply the Zinc-O Apply Zinc-O, usually at least 20 minutes later (my skin's often a little tender right after my morning shower) Sometimes, I'll also dust Dr. Sy's Golden Powder over top the Zinc-O, but I'm not big on make-up, so often it feels like too much on my face--it does temper the shine from the ZO, though, and I like that it's got some sunblock in it. PM: Same, minus the powder I'm still in the midst of photoderm treatments, and am a little skittish to try the oils yet. I have a Vita-Oil sample, though, and will probably try it once I feel I'm completely recovered. I really like the ZO--my skin's never felt or looked so smooth! The color is a little off, but as someone else said, it really just makes me look like I've got a slight tan--makes me look kinda bright, but not the kind of bright I used to have (looks like I'm wearing the shimmery blushers all the Vogue models seem to be sporting these days). I do have my own question for all ZO users, though--how do you all feel about the sun protection in this formulation? It seems to be perfect for daily use--even driving around or walking around the city for a few hours, and it's appropriate (along with my visor) as a sunblock during my morning walks. But I went to a baseball game yesterday, and even though it didn't start until 5pm and even though I used the ZO and wore my visor, I still got some sun on my face. It doesn't look bad, and it's very slight, but I can definitely see a little extra pink on my cheeks. Could just be because I'm 3 weeks post-photoderm and I'm still a little photosensitive as a result. Just curious as to whether you all think the ZO is appropriate for, say, day-long sun exposure. My boyfriend and I like to go hiking and biking in the summer and fall, and I'm a little concerned that I won't have enough sun protection. I have really bad luck with chemical sunscreens.
